If you do host others and get three positive feedbacks, the next year's membership is free.
The price of membership is less than the cost of one night's stay at a campground, and most hosts will give you freebies like electricity and water. Some people may not know it, but if someone agrees to let you stay with them for a few days, there is no monetary fee charged to you. The host is giving you a gift.
