a nylon bag with plastic nubs inside, great reviews from respectable sources.... watch the vid and you tell me...

I just got back from an Alaska trip and tried the scrubba. Since I was in a class-B I needed to minimize my foot print and didn’t want to have to spend time in laundromats.  To be truthful, I was disappointed with it and ended up discarding it.

Just looked for Scrubba on Amazon and it was over 40 dollars for a little bag with some kind of little plastic "washboard" surface. I won't need that. I'll use an ordinary dishpan and wash with a little dish soap and white vinegar, then rinse twice, then hang my clothes to dry. Keep it simple!

Laundry kit:

Dish pan
Dawn dish soap
White vinegar
WATER
clothes line
clothes pins
TIME

Should work fine.

There's a few portable 12v washers on the market that are great! And they don't use much water. There's a couple videos on YouTube about them. Check them out and see if you can use them.

I use a dry bag. Much less expensive that an Scrubba. I do agitate it for a bit then let it soak and agitate again. Agitating may be by hand, foot, or driving with it on the floor somewhere. If I had some really dirty stains I may wash them out before hand. I rinse twice after washing then drain. One nice thing about a dry bag is that you can open it to drain then walk on it to squeeze out a lot of the excess water.

I like the dry bag idea. Compact.  Assume it can be used to store dirty laundry as long as it's left open.
What size is best.  This one is <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Unigear-Floa...appliances,638&sr=1-17&ref=sr_1_17&th=1&psc=1"><b> 20L</b></a> for $21.99
This one is <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XH633V...&pd_rd_r=b693c4ca-cc44-11e8-af0e-892466a53ea7"><b>30L</b></a> $16.99
This <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HZQYRRI?ref_=ams_ad_dp_ttl"><b>30L bag</b></a> costs more but has pockets that could store detergent etc

Thst's a nice one.  Is there a reason doing laundry in a bag is better than  in a basin?  Is it the fact your hands don't get wet?

There is more that I can do with a dry bag and it doesn't take up much room if not in use, and there is less splash and water slopping around.  With the dry bag I can completely close it up and no water or air leaks.  That way I can close it with lots of air in it so that it is a cylinder.  Then I can sit in a chair and roll it a bit with my foot while I read a book or look at nature or I can put it in the truck and let it roll around on the floor while I drive somewhere. I can close it up with no air in it and massage my feet and clothes at the same time.  I can leave it open at the top and use it as a tall bucket and agitate my laundry from the top with a hand or plunger.  Being as it is tall there isn't a lot of splash out.  It is easy to drain and squeeze the clothes with the sides of the bag. Once mostly drained I can walk on the bag to push more water out.  Then leave it on a slight incline and let it continue to drain for awhile.  I have even rolled it with the clothes in it to squeeze them then stood on it.   :s

Plus I can use it as a bag or bucket for other things.

That is a thorough, and much appreciated explanation, Rainier.

One more question...  Is this claim that <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DB72WD...&pd_rd_r=344b3414-cc4a-11e8-a739-33eb8bfc8d81"><b>TPU</b></a> is stronger than PVC, correct, or in any way important?

Thanks for putting up with me.  I'm like a 2 year old when it comes to questions.
