Sorry for the sarcasm. There are many people in the RV community who can respond to that letter in an eloquent, effective way that will clear up the inaccuracies and misconceptions of both the author and the letter writer. Obviously, the letter writer means well.

Close the Canadian border! I'm just kidding of course...

Approximately 5.25 million Canadian Snowbirds migrate to the US each winter and most of them are in some sort of RV. Destinations of choice are Florida, California and Arizona... Can you imagine what Quartszite would look like without our Canadian friends?

My home base RV park has 1000+ spaces.. Only 150 of us are full timers, the rest are primarily from Canada, Washington and Oregon. My parks Canadian Snowbird group is over 600 spaces strong and have their RV's stored either on property or delivered and set up prior to their arrival.

Bottom line... Without the Canadians this place would be a ghost town!

BTW, not sure if this post is off topic as that "Letter to the Editor" and reply's were all over the place...

The next time those who call themselves RTR folk make comments about "Rainbow Family types" or the "homeless element," let us all hope this letter...and its ignorance...comes to mind.

In Quartzsite I ran across other campers saying, “Those rubber people”. [emoji12]
