Also having this issue wiith Walmart.

I am trying to have stuff sento either Quietimes or BCM.

Both Walmart and Amazon are automagically transmuting the two-line address - first line street address, second line internal box number - into either the street address OR a PO Box. Spent about an hour trouble-shooting this with an Amazon rep this morning, to no avail. Yet both sites include an entry box for the second line of the address.

Anyone else running across this?

last summer the remote Post Office that I was receiving packages at advised me to write it like this,

John Doe
1234 Main St 24
anytown usa
ooooo

the 24 is the box number and there is no second line. they said DO NOT use the words PO Box or the second line. it worked fine for me. I am not sure if it will work in your situation. they were use to this way of writing the address to get around Amazon's no shipping to a PO Box rules. I would ask them at Quiet Times or BCM.

I got my Amazon to work with BCM....It took a couple times of choosing "use this address"....now it remembers

Walmart.com reverts to BCM's POB# ONLY.....not the longer address....so I quit trying shipping from Walmart

OK, I'll try that.

What's bizarre to me is that both websites offer the second line to fill out when you are inputting the address, but are dropping it when they display the address where the items will be shipped! AND, that two-line addresses worked just fine a year ago!

OK, tried it with Walmart. Didn't work. trying to save BCM's address on one line just leads into an endless loop - "sorry that address can't be verified, do you want to change it, no, sorry that address can't be verified," etc.

My BCM address is exactly as follows on Amazon:

My name
852 W Cowell St
A616 B30
Quartzsite, AZ 85346
I remember vaguely the first time I used it on Amazon there was a note saying something about the address (to be sure it's correct)but I just clicked through it. I've had three separate orders shipped there from Amazon with no problems.

Last year I rented a box in Parks AZ and there were some items that Amazon wouldn't ship there. Other items were ok. Maybe that's what the problem is?

Edited to add: BCM gave me another address to use with USPS. The above is for all other shippers

tried a couple more times, ieventually took it.

Now to see whether the order arrives!

this year? Because I used a friend's BCM two-line address last year on Amazon, and it worked fine.

Maybe it's the word "box" that is triggering the forced change to PO Box?

I know Amazon won't ship to a PO Box. And on Amazon, you can't specify your mode of delivery, and they don't tell you how they are shipping, so if they choose not to use USPS, you won't know until you get a notice that your order was undeliverable and they are giving you a refund. Hence, my attempt to use BCM or Quiet times for receiving packages on my own this year.

2 weeks ago. No, I didn't use the word "box," just the 'B.' I don't remember if Amazon formatted it for me or I entered it that way myself. All the characters are exact except for my name. I copied and pasted my address from Amazon to my other post. It's exact.

Are you sure you're not trying the use the address BCM gave you for USPS? They gave me two addresses. As I said, one is for USPS

I've done my BCM address as both one line and two with Amazon. No trouble. Walmart would only accept the street portion of the address, not the box.

Since BCM has a street address for UPS/FedEx and a PO Box address for Postal service, my problem with Amazon is I don't know which way some things will be sent if they're not coming from an Amazon fulfillment center. I had the same problem when I spent a summer at a friend's place in a small town with no mail delivery. Everyone had to pick up their mail at the Post Office, but UPS/FedEx delivered to the street address. A couple of shipments got lost in the cosmos.

No, I asked specifically about receiving packages. BCM gave me an address formatted just like yours, only with different numbers. I assume the numbers are different because I don't have a private mailbox with them, I am only interested in receiving packages there.

Not had any problems getting Amazon prime items sent to quiet times. Dont use the PO Box numer for that, only use the street address. The quiet times PO box is only for things being delivered bu USPS, those items go to the Postal box theat the Quiet Times. Businessx has at the Post Office. The USPS does not do any local street address delivery in the town of Quartzsite, not even to business locations. Both B&C and Quiet Times employees also have to go to the post office to pick up all the mail that is addressed to their PO box number address.

I don't have a private mailbox with them. I still have my Florida address. They gave me two different addresses. The one I posted and the other is regular mail or whatever via USPS. They told me the one for USPS has to be entered exactly. I don't know that I'll ever use that address

It should be in the paperwork they gave you when you signed up. Two distinct addresses.
I don't know if that's what the problem is, I'm just stating facts

I don't usually use Amazon as their process to order seems to have difficulties. Usually can get the item just as fast direct from the manufacturer.

You guys got it made! Try getting something delivered to a company warehouse, district ranger office or private run post office in a town that doesn’t exist on Goggle or most any maps. Sometimes I have to have it delivered to an acquaintance and have them mail it to me. Many times it takes over a month to find things and get them here, so much for spontaneous buying. Having things delivered to an existing business on a main highway with a street address that normally receives deliveries even though it is sixty sixty miles to go pick up has worked best for me. You guys are just spoiled! I had one delivery of wheels and tires that I found left sitting under a tree at an intersection that my local law enforcement officer let me know had arrived when he saw my name on the label. Lol!!!

I usually tell them to keep going past Ticaboo Utah (it’s on the maps) until you run into water and wait there till they see someone and ask for me. What’s really bad is when they drive the couple hours in to Halls Crossing trying to save 45 miles only to find the ferry isn’t running today. They can see me waving for them to go around but that’s about 4 hours travel time.

Last winter I had a lot of trouble spending money till I rented that box in Parks. There's that.  :-/  Then again, there was some price gouging going on in Kingman due to the virus and closings

I didn't sign up for a BCM account/mailbox. I'm just using it as an address for receiving packages, since most delivery services like FedEx can't deliver to the PO. Most mailing services will receive packages for you even if you don't have an account - I pay for the receiving service when I pick up the package. Usual cost I have encountered for this service is $5 or less per package.
