Any Early (November) Van Dwellers in Quartzite 2015?

In Ehrenberg we are about 7 miles from the library in Blythe, CA and it is a really good library! They'll let anyone, even non-residents use it and check out books.

There is a laundromat in Ehrenberg about 3 miles from camp with showers and free wifi. We also get water there and dump our trash. They even rent Mail Boxes and will recieve UPS and FedEx. I rent a box every winter.

Ehrenberg is very easy place to stay water in town showers were 7 dollars as I remember. very close to Blyth, even some river action close by.

The showers are more like $5 and are cheaper if you buy several tickets. Last year we split 30 tickets 3 ways and came out at something like 3 bucks per shower.
They are very cool about us hanging out on the free WiFi.

if you did pay the 180. and stayed in quartzsite, is thier a truck that comes around for unloading your tanks and filling?

I'm seriously thinking of spending a few weeks in Ehrenberg from late October to mid-November due to local family events a month apart. It just doesn't make sense to go down from the PNW, and back to SoCal twice. So, if it all works out, I hope to see you there. I do plan to spend the holidays back in WA; but, will return in January for the RTR.

The long term BLM has dumps, water, and trash.

There are also trucks that suck the tanks and some with filtered water that run around Q.

Hi bindi.  That's a great price as Pilot charges $12 !  Yikes!  I usually use a small amount of chamomile/mint soap and water in my little waste bucket daily with a cloth.  But I've been known to shower on occasion!  lololol...

...I forgot to mention, too, that the chamomile/mint soap comes from the Dollar Store. That's the best part! Sounds expensive though! No excuses for me to wander around smelling and looking like "PigPen" from Charlie Brown! Hahahahahahaaaa! (Love Snoopy and Woodstock to pieces!)

Many of the marinas along the coast have showers, usually coin-op. Often a buck or 2 for good hot showers.

Hi all.  Considering winter in Quartzite this year as a Van Dweller.  I understand a permit is required.  Would that be purchased upon entrance to the land?  Also, anyone else arriving as early as November?

Hi all !  I begin physical therapy October 27th in Southern CA.  I'll hopefully be in Ehrenberg before Thanksgiving, depending on how well physical therapy goes - which I think will go well.

Hello Ken.  I have no 'recent' photos to post, sorry.  It wouldn't be fair to share the older ones.    However, I see we are both in Southern CA.  I'm currently in Rancho Cucamonga waiting PT.  If at any point you'd like to meet half way somewhere, a library, a shopping center, etc, let me know.  Happy to share.
