Hi all, and thanks for letting me join.

I've viewed Bob's YouTube videos with much interest and wonder If this lifestyle might be for me.  I'm 69, retired, live on Social Security.  I just had a hip replaced, but other than that I'm in good health.  A couple of years ago I purchased a new Travel Trailer.  23 ft, fairly lightweight.  I pull it with my Ford F150 4x4.  All these toys are paid for, thank goodness.

I just don't know if I can afford this nomadic lifestyle, or if I'm too old for it.  My income is limited to about $1600 per month.  I have a small nestegg.  Not rich by any means.

Looking for opinions.  Anxious, but apprehensive.

TIA

It sounds like you’re off to great start. There’s people out there who are living on much less than that very happily. And the fact that you do have a nest egg is excellent. Many people start out with nothing.

GrumpyG... you'll think you won the lottery once you're not paying high utility bills and are out seeing the country. Of course you can do this - your toys are paid for that puts you way ahead of the pack. Get out there and see some sunsets...good luck

Welcome GrumpyG...

Food, fuel and insurance... If your health is good, you can make this happen...

Thanks bpdchief!

Traveling slow, and not spending a lot of money on gas, will keep your costs very low. You may find you drive even less than when you are housebound. Starting slow, and close to home, will help you establish your comfort zone.
