I am a bit of a loner I have to admit but I have about 5 really good friends that I have known over many years....or at least I did have, over the last 4 weeks two of my best friends Mary and Jill have both gone, both taken with cancer and both way too early.

I seem to be feeling these losses so much more as I get older myself....and especially now I am living on the road and do not seem to be able to make friends in quite the same way, if you know what I mean?

Sorry, just had to get that off my mind and down on virtual paper.

annie

so very sorry for your Losses, Cancer can be a terrible disease,
No More Pain,& "you" have a great "good time memories".

You have my sincere sympathy.

My most meaningful words of comfort came from one of my preschool students when my father passed. The four-year-old said, "You know what I think? I don't think your Dad is in the graveyard. I think he is up in Heaven watching down over you."

Hug and cuddle the dogs. They want to help you feel better.

Annie, So sorry to hear this. Your pain is very real and I felt it in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with your grief. Share your memories it helps so much when you talk about things!

Yup, it sux. I lost a good friend just this past year, and looking for more of the same soon. Way I look at it is, gotta celebrate the good times I had and find new friends with whom I can share what was. Ain't much, but they kinda live on that way, if only a memory. ..Willy.

sorry for your loss .... blkjak

Hi Annie. Can you spend some time with loved ones? Did you have any mutual friends? I think 3 good friends are a real blessing, not to mention the memories you have with your good friends that have passed! I hope you feel better, soon. Sometimes it's best not to be a "loner" during times of emotional distress!
