Great news on the new place to park.

Thanks my new friends. I think my 'amended' goal is going to have to involve getting a little closer to the gulf coast next Oct. Then, when spring rolls back around, I can head back up this way and keep rolling right through STL and on to Mt Rushmore. That's been one of my biggest bucket list items almost as long as I can remember. We visited there on family vacation in '60 or '61. (Can't remember for certain) but I really want to get back there and spend more time at the Crazy Horse memorial, and explore more of the Indian territory.

Oooooo...the Black Hills!

A lot to see out thataways!!!

...but if you go there, then another 1 day drive away is Yellowstone National Park, and you've gotta see that!!

Come to think of it, just over the hill from that is the West coast........WELCOME!!

Wow, major score on the security gig! That takes a huge load off your mind. Happy dance!!!

Hopefully, not in a camper at those temps. I'm gonna need a lot more plastic!
Woke up to good news this am. Shop owner needs security, at least till the end of spring! This was actually 'best case scenario' in my mind. I guess I was just a little afraid to hope for too much.

I get a pretty fair amount of security gigs just for the asking.  Since I need no hookups,  it just amounts to a free and safe place to park.

While you're up that way don't forget the Corn Palace & Wall Drug.

Zazz! Hope everybody is staying warm.

So, anyway, Ive noticed this spot where I'm at is exactly in the middle of two cell phone towers that are only about 1,500 ft apart. If that. I have to look up at a 45 degree angle to see the tops. I'm not really sure if Im typing this, or just thinking it...

Just scored enough 3 in Styrofoam to insulate the whole camper out of the construction dumpster next door...

Now that its warming up I'm not so sure how much I really need a whole nother 3" layer of insulation, but I know next winter...

I saw a big hawk on the line yesterday. Next time I'll get a pic!

I had just enough insulation to do the loft, the back wall, and the passenger side wall. Not the prettiest, but it'll keep me cooler this summer (and warmer next winter) and, to me, that's just peachy!

I think this is the local hawks nest looking out the front window.

A good news/bad news update; Bn, the storm ripped the awning off the side of my camper. Gn, I've just recently acquired enough canvas for several large paintings. ;)

Don,
I like your attitude and your humor. From extra cold to total sizzle these days around STL.  :)

The winds and rain and humidity in COMO make it hard to be outside.   I am missing the desert...  Send me a PM if you are passing through.
