This tread is for posting Amazon food deals you find.

Please mention if you noticed a coupon with the item, the item is a Subscribe price or it’s a consistent great price.

Links to the specific items encouraged

For ease please limit to Amazon food deals. We have other threads for Costco, Walmart, Dollar stores, etc.

Thanks Firtree! :)

Since I'm the resident spam expert, I'll start with...

SPAM Singles, 24 pack:
https://www.amazon.com/Spam-Single-Classic-Ounce-Pouch/dp/B000FIZW00/
It's at a pretty good price now, and if you do the 5-item subscribe&save, it works out to about 70 cents each. Perfect for those of us who have no fridge. :)
The price fluctuates (of course), but it regularly reaches that price level. I'm currently well stocked. :)

Recently, I bought this:
https://www.amazon.com/GOLDEN-Premium-Hashbrown-Potatoes-Servings/dp/B0051HHUL4/
One huge box of two pounds of dehydrated hashbrowns for as low as $6.74 (I bought it at $7.17).
If you bought the regular sized boxes (4.5 oz each), an equivalent amount would cost about $9.50 at Walmart.
Bonus: you do not have to order anything else to get free shipping. :)
The vendor I went with sent it FedEx to "General Delivery", and it worked perfectly. :)

To mollify the health-nutter crowd, I've had this in my virtual "shopping cart" for a while:
https://www.amazon.com/V8-Original-100-Vegetable-Juice/dp/B00LM3G7IS/
24 pack of V8 veg juice 11.5 oz cans for $10.97 and there's currently a 25% off coupon, so that works out to 34 cents per can. :)
That's not part of the s&s program.

Somebody please find me about $13 worth of other Amazon "free shipping" eligible frugal food, so I can buy the V8, and Be Healthier. :D

Triscuit Hint of Salt Crackers (Pack of 6) Non-GMO (B071G7JVB5) Are $13.74 and less if you do S&S. Couple other versions same price.

I use https://slickdeals.net/ which readers & venders post great deals & you can choose who or what venders or products you want sent to you. They have lots of Amazon deals & dollars off codes. I also use Honey.com which finds any coupon or discount & a little cash back & activejunky.com which gives you cash back from linking thru them to online stores for active people. I recieved over $500 this year for things I was going to buy anyway. Use code https://www.activejunky.com/invite/1601749 the 1st order & we both get $5 AJ isn't for Amazon but Slickdeals is great for Amazon & Honey you can pick items & track prices & set it to notify you of price drops for many stores.

Oh good grief.
The Campbell’s Split Pea with Ham and Bacon has just dropped to $6.00 (5.70 with S&S) for 12 cans. Normally about $18 from Amazon. It was $9 last week

Well Kaylee Serenity, normally I like your posts, but all I can say here is .... UGH!

1. for some of us very old timers, the thought of Spam leaves a bad taste in our mouths, even if we never tried it. Like something left over from WW2 army rations. Likely our mothers fed it to us as babies, so now we gag. Thanks, mom. Similar for those little cans of vienna sausage.

2. if you check the labels, you'll see that those dried hashbrowns and V8 both have a huge amount of sodium. Not good for those of us with HBP. A different variety Hungry Jack has 1500mg sodium in the 6 serving package, and V8 has 640mg per 8oz can.

3. anymore I buy this apple juice. No added sugar and only 10mg of sodium. Plus side is lots of potassium. BTW, I always water my juices down at least 2:1, so they go further. I think they taste better when watered down.

So many processed foods have tons of sodium, you have to read every label.

S&S is an Amazon program they offer for certain products and stands for Subscribe and Save.

Lots of parents seem to use it for things like diapers, wipes; things they know they need on a continual basis.

You can cancel after your order ships if you don’t want more. Sometimes there is a really good price but the next shipment is much much higher. There maybe a thread on S&S dos and don’ts

Now it's $17.76  yet I've ordered one.

That's $1.48 per can. You'll probably find that's just about the same price as individual cans in the grocery store. The problem is, it says "low cholesterol", but all of that canned stuff has huge amounts of salt.

Normally I don't like baked beans in a can, but I bought some of these a couple of weeks ago. They were quite good, but guess what ... 3.5 servings per can, and 550 mg Sodium per serving. Gakk.

I do greatly like Bush's Black Eyed Peas. They have the same basic amount of salt as above, but they come suspended in water rather than a syrup, which you can drain off and then rinse with regular water, and much of the salt is removed. Then douse with olive oil. Yumm.

Kaylee is cool, but she has fled the scene anymore. No more ravings about Spam.

Some of the organics come in no salt versions of beans and sometimes corn. Or get dry beans and diy. I did my own hominy last time. But it took a looooong time to make.   -crofter

On one of the threads, we spent a LOT of time discussing dry beans. But too much propane needed to be efficient way to cook when off grid, even with presoaking. I tried.

Get one of those solar guys to make you a bean pot. You could be their test kitchen.  -crofter
