As far as washing your hair I prefer to go ah la natural. I shave my head. As I stealth camp most of the time around populated areas I use my water bandit" covers water tap" and get a gallon of hot water to wash with. Use wipes also. Hobo Joe

What's a water bandit?

A "water bandit" or "water thief" is a rubber connection designed to attach a hose to any faucet, including those without any threads to attach to.

Many of the doggie showers or personal hand held showers connect to faucets using this method.  I bought a doogie shower like this at a dollar store.  It can turn virtually any faucet into a shower.  Some people like to use them in sinks to wash their hair.

That is so cool!

I used to carry a special water key that allowed me to go into an industrial park and refill my water tanks from any hose bib. Fun stuff!

I usually fill my jugs from the spigots under the drinking fountains at city parks, no special key required.
