Honestly, I have such terrible anxiety. He's the driver. I could go stay the night at a local park I suppose lol.

That's a VERY good way to get started. The more you sleep in your vehicle, the easier it gets to fall asleep and stay asleep! And if you have anxiety issues, starting out in a familiar place close to home will definitely help. Plus you can put yourself on a schedule - arrive at 6 pm, leave at 9 am - which can also help.

Although I've done a lot of camping, and am not fearful about sleeping in my metal tent, I still needed to know how my plans "worked" - did I like how I had arranged my bed, could I keep my water and a flashlight close at hand without dumping them on the floor, etc. You can only learn these things by doing.

Start with sleeping in the car in your driveway... that's likely the least anxiety-causing place to try your Prius out.

Personally I'd have a lot more anxiety in my driveway than I would at a park. In my driveway I would have social anxiety about what my neighbors are thinking. In a park I'd have a little anxiety about anybody roaming around, but otherwise I'd be fine.

This is of course personal. Different people worry about different things.

That's a valid point. Living in the country as I do I have one neighbor who might see me sleeping in my vehicle, and they already know I'm a little quirky.

I have anxiety over driving. The fear of getting in an accident, hurting others, being hurt & totaling our car

No problem JCblue, I can help with that. I have a couple mowers to practice with on 14 acres. Come on over.
