Slept in 2006 Dodge Caravan Minivan WITH Diesel Heater - Nearly Froze

I've got a Zinus folding narrow twin frame (14" of storage space underneath) in the back of my Grand Caravan. I was looking for cots but none of them fit the Milliard trifold mattress I'd already bought when the plan was just to sleep on the floor. I like it very much. The only issue is I...

Gas prices seem to be dropping a bit where I am (North Central WA) which kind of surprised me. I have been on a cleaning binge all week. Actually, I've been kind of on a getting rid of things binge since early this year after witnessing a horror story of an estate probate. I'd rather my kids...

    What are you reading?

I finished all the books I ordered about Appalachia finally. Ordered some used books from Amazon to fill out a series I've been collecting for years, the Pendergast books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I used to buy them as soon as they came out but can't afford new books anymore so I...

Yeah, I'm not happy to be paying out the amount I'm going to be paying out either.  But I will feel better about having it during the pandemic if nothing else.  Now if only the people my son works with would quit bringing covid to work. :/ I'm going to get a Moderna booster on 11/5. Got...

Kinda wish I lived in a small town again, where everything was within walking distance. Grocery store, post office, library, doctors office and pharmacy. I loved that. I was living across the river in an area where all those things were in walking distance about 9 years ago. Now I'm a little...

    Gypsies, Roma and other Travellers

Occasionally I'll go off on a reading binge about one thing or another, most recently it was Appalachia, but earlier this year it was the Travellers. I ordered a bunch of books from the library, many of them had to be ordered from the interlibrary system. It's a fascinating culture.
