How do you people do it? Having a pet cat

How did you choose 72 degrees? I read a story about a couple that left their dogs in their while they went on a hike. They left the windows cracked, parked in the shade, etc. When they got back to the car, both dogs were dead …heat issues. 😢 I think there are other factors at work such as...

    Car Market is INSANE Now!

I am a bit late to this thread but I thought I’d add my story. I sold my 2017 Subaru to Carvana in June for an insane amount of money. I spent the next 5 months looking for a used, affordable Town & Country. After multiple car inspections I finally found a fantastic 2015 T&C with 54K miles. NO...

    FS - 2012 Ford E350 CamperVan w/ Hightop - SOLD!

The black bedliner is awesome! I don’t have to wax it. It is tough and durable. No scratches from low lying branches or dents from hail. AND, best of all it was hundreds of dollars cheaper than paint.  I really don’t notice any heat issues as I park in the shade ... but then the heat and...

    FS - 2012 Ford E350 CamperVan w/ Hightop - SOLD!

I am selling my 2012 Ford E350 RB CamperVan. I purchased the van in August 2017. It has 63,047 miles. When I purchased the van I intended to make it a camper. It is almost finished but now due to “life happens” I need to sell. Price is $23,917/OBO.  Van is in Northern Virginia. Theses are the...

Need Van Builder in Virginia or close

I bought my van from a dealer in Georgia (and after an inspection by a national company). I had been searching Craigslist, autotrader.com and cars.com. Got tired of looking for a high top so I found a good used van and put the top on myself (with the help of Fiberine and a company in PA).  Used...

Need Van Builder in Virginia or close

I am going to be using my van for weekend camping and longer road trips, not full-timing. So, my needs are a bit more basic.  1. I went on thumbtack.com and advertised for a handyman/carpenter for the bed/floor build. I was very specific in what I wanted and hoped to find someone with van build...

Need Van Builder in Virginia or close

Where in VA are you? I have had the same issues ... no skills, no tools, no place to do any building even if I wanted to.  I’m in northern VA and have used various contractors, handymen, etc to do my build. It is almost done!  But, it has been such a PITA that if I do this again, I’ll buy one...

    High top strength question

My hightop was reinforced with wood by Fiberine when I bought it. The roof now carries 2 100W solar panels and I had a Maxxfan installed.  Others in this forum have had steel cages custom made to reinforce their tops. Hopefully one of them will chime in. When I had the top installed, I left the...

Does any one know of a good van/rv conversion shop that will do totally custom work?

You’re lucky to live in the west where there are several such shops. Here in the east there aren’t any. Try Sportsmobile West in CA, VanWorks in Oregon, CCV in Colorado, and there are several others I cannot remember off the top of my head. What they all have is cost ... all pricey.

    Window sills/frames?

Thanks for the excellent suggestion! I'm going to try that! Wish I could take credit for the wood paneling, but I can't. Hired a carpenter to do it. He did an OK job but there are areas I need to fix.
