Paint for vehicle that helps with insulation

This works on the outside, but also on the inside, before you add any other insulation: http://hytechsales.com/buy_ceramicadditive.html#fromHistory Recommendation from a friend who did schoolie conversions in the past.

    Stash Houses?

When I had to throw my art studio and personal stuff into storage I found a place that had RV bays for $100/mo. I have shelving holding boxes and am working my way through everything as I pare it down.

    Dash Cameras

I was backing my Saturn wagon out of a small parking space in front of a shop when an ancient Fiat zipped in behind me so that I tagged the driver's front quarter panel. Which was already pretty banged up. The driver was actually grinning when we exchanged info. I was livid when I spoke with my...

Percolator for coffee - coarse grind for the basket?

Hey! I went looking and found round filters - the better ones that have a fold over to keep the grounds contained. http://www.sears.com/melitta-coffee-filters-for-percolators-white-wrap/p-SPM8549238902?hlSellerId=9150&sid=IDx20110310x00001i&kpid=SPM8549238902&kispla=SPM8549238902

Percolator for coffee - coarse grind for the basket?

Towards the end of percolator's heyday, when most coffee was being sold drip grind, they sold a circular filter for that purpose. Stopped making them at least 20 years ago. So, yeah, cut down those basket filters!

    Didn't buy coffee today....

When I had a day job that paid well, I had more money than time, so I bought my fancy coffee just about daily. Lost that job and got an espresso machine since I still liked that fancy coffee. Machine paid for itself pretty durned quickly. Now I'm in a place with REAL hard water so I put it away...

Don't Park Your Van Just Anywhere

That news story has issues on both sides. It's basically confronting city stealthing, which is always going to be a mixed bag of experiences, differing from neighborhood to neighborhood, city to city, state to state. Toaster, I, personally, would never choose to park in a neighborhood with...

    Hydraulic empires and diabetic cooking

Water: Surface water is not as critical as artesian. In the Texas area, they are pumping out so much water for cities and industry that ranch wells are failing. You can watch the depletion of the aquifer by looking at the years the ranches are closing. Diabetes: If you want to cure your...

    Home Depot is hiring

You always speak to the Manager on Duty when calling in for any reason. They have too much to do to worry about a once or twice situation. If you have issues every week, yeah they'll start keeping tabs on you. As far as gaming the system - that is cyclic. Managers who do that soon get too...

    Home Depot is hiring

At HD you have the added benefit that the system/culture actually caters to part timers. As a full timer I am limited to the number of schedule exceptions I can list, the number of times I can be late to work before I get in trouble, etc. Part timers, especially those with another part time...

    Heating Your RV for CHEAP

I read a blog post that evaluated the max possible BTUs from the candle and the result was 'it might save you from freezing to death in the Apocalypse, but you're not going to get comfy warm from it.'

    State Park's camping rig definations

"as combinations of vehicles, trailers, tents and/or hammocks" If you have any ONE of these you qualify. That's how the sentence is organized.

This can be the start of a real mess...

Okay, folks on this forum pretty much know what they're doing, or are here to learn how to do things properly. However, there's a lot of OTHER folks in RVs and busses who not only don't seem to know what they're doing, their ignorance or full-on self centeredness is going to spoil the scene for...

Too poor to retire and too young to die

Look at her background. She'd worked as a bank executive secretary and a museum curator, among other jobs. She obviously used to make decent money, but never learned to save much of it, except for some stock investments - which, next to property, used to be THE way to plan for your retirement...
