    **** Lifestyle

Seems like you are already eating a very healthy low-carb style, which is essentially a low glycemic diet having similar benefits as ****. It seems like it's working for you, so you should stick with it. **** is just a bit more focused toward an even lower carb intake. When we restrict carbs...

    **** Lifestyle

Wow! Never in my wildest imagination did I think this thread would still be active after two-plus years. At the time I originally posted, as you may guess, I was feeling quite helpless and frustrated that my best friend was in failing health and on his death bed. I was seriously worried I...

    RIP highdesertranger

Been away from the forum for a minute, and I'm so saddened to see this news... I am seriously bummed. Had several conversations via CRVL with HDR and he seemed like a real solid dude. Okay, maybe he was a little crusty and rough around the edges but I know he had a good heart. Always looked...

dual fuel tank system ford E series

@Bullfrog -- Yeah, the electric switching valves and electric pumps are the usual failure points. When I was a pup, an old-timer mentor of mine showed me how he installed a manual valve to switch fuel tanks, and an electric switch under the dash to change the fuel sender. The fuel valve...

dual fuel tank system ford E series

Dual tank systems use separate tanks, pumps, pickups, and gauge senders. There should be a switch on the dash adjacent to the steering column. The switch operates a tank selector valve that swaps fuel and vapor lines, and gauge to the tank in use.

    Rats in the walls

Yeah, it seems to be concentrated Peppermint oil that does the trick, or you can buy the commercial version... The video shows how mice react...

    Nomadland (film)

It's a great movie!  Wonderful story, characters, and many people you may know or recognize...  Bob, Suanne, Linda May, Swanky, and others who participated but maybe didn't have lines in the final movie.  I was impressed how well the director portrayed the resilience, strength, determination...

    Rats in the walls

^1 to avoid poisons.  Best luck I've had catching critters are the good old fashion snap traps. Best baits I've used are peanut butter for mice, and dry dog food pellets for rats.  For mice, smear a thin layer of peanut butter on the underside of the press bar.  For rats, tie the dog food pellet...

Fleas?? Eggs? Ever use normal isoprpyl alchohol?

All this talk about alcohol and salt makes me think maybe we need some lime wedges to go with it... ;)

    Potential issues while RVing

^+1 to buy for low dollar...    It happens that most RV's sit idle for 10+ months of the year, and that's very hard on mechanical objects.  Radiators clog up, antifreeze goes bad, batteries age out, brakes get sticky, fluid seals go oval and leak, tires and rubber rots, rodents chew on stuff...

Alternative glue and adhesive options for window and vent installations

I'd suggest not to experiment or reinvent the wheel.  You're way over thinking what should be a simple project.  It could be a one and done deal, if you use the right product... The best and most environmentally friendly solution is to simply not cut any holes and just omit the window, no glue...

    Van wall thickness and bulletproofing

Armor can be light, effective, cheap - pick any two... ^+1 to remove yourself from the situation, the easiest and cost free solution. Curious, why would you want to position yourself in harms way?

    Rust Question

That is some very extensive rust.  Judging by the deep scale on the leaf springs, my guess is the front end won't be any better.  Sure, the cosmetics of the fender/wheel house can be repaired by a body shop, but at a cost.  Foil tape, peel and seal, and a spray can of paint would seal over and...

    RV AC

If this is an add-on RV unit, your likely looking for a non-ducted version. Ducted means it has ducts (air passages) built into the ceiling and those are usually only on the factory built RVs. Dometic and Coleman are two common brand names but there are others and the air conditioning...

    Anyone know what this is??

It's primarily a water deflector that keeps water from splashing up in the front of the engine. With modern ignitions it won't likely stall the engine. The danger is that water will make the serpentine belt slip and you'd temporarily loose power steering and power brake assist until the water...

    Crap, Chiggers.

Dang chiggers are intolerable! CIA could probably use them instead of water boarding... Those little bastards tend to occupy the taller or unmowed grass, but be forewarned they can also inhabit Spanish moss that grows on trees. Laying a tarp on the ground between you and the grass helps...

    Water faucet near Prescott, AZ?

^+1 Most fire departments will gladly give you water... Aside from good will, it also avoids a medic call especially in hot environments. Just don't go during meal time... Lol!
