Looks like Kevin did not sign back in on Monday to get info for where to go for visiting Pirate Cove on Monday.

Not too surprising as the town of Quartzsite might have been enough of a thrill all on its own. It takes many hours to explore all of its many beautiful outstanding and unique metropolitan features and architectural design masterpieces. The local gardens in front of homes are full of unusual art pieces!

I myself spent more than an hour and a half in town today, lingering for a while at the popular hangout, the Main Street Laundromat. That was after taking a slow visit to the post office facility. But I must admit that the architectural interior design of the post office has a horrible floor plan as regards customer traffic flow inside the building. The exterior traffic flow pattern is also very poorly done. Both areas tend to create collisions. By contrast the layout off the mainstreet laundry while only somewhat cramped in the aisles has a much better traffic flow inside and out.

Blythe also has a Starbucks…
I much prefer the atmosphere, coffee, food, customer service and prices at the little coffee shop at the Mainstreet Laundry in Quartzsite. It is nice to buy local. The owners daughter owns an espresso place in a town just south of Seattle. That meant the owner had a very good barista to teach her and they bought good machines and buy decent beans.

Windy and cold at Pirate Camp LTVA

No sign of Kevin......we're a camp of 5 rigs and 6 peoples.......SHADOWMOSS dropped by today....her rig is in an RV park in town

My awning/stakes pulled out of the ground..........I just pulled it aside and added weight for now

Mr Buddy's going.......the side door open/some.........

Crockpot chicken/rice for our dinner

Stay Safe...............Arrrrrrgh

I think from what I read that he wrote perhaps Kevin was looking to be entertained. Quartzsite often resembles the head shaking “why would anyone want to be HERE?” kind of entertainment.

I am going to go entertain myself by taking trash to the dumpster. I have not decided if I will or will not drive on into town in this wind and grab some yards of webbing for a project.

Camilla and John have arrived at La Posa. I am looking forward to visiting with Camilla. I am also hopefully going to take advantage of her “sewing tent” facility and a machine when/if she gets that set up.

I did get to town. Wind was not as bad there as the buildings were acting as wind blocks. I stopped at Carl Jrs to see if they had their Starlink Wi-Fi active and they did. I was not hungry but I bought an ice tea at Carl Jrs to pay table rent for sitting there to use the Starlink to do a big update on my cellphone.

No more Burger King in Quartzsite, it is gone, all the signs taken down, construction trucks parked in front, etc

Ouch!

I mean, I also need a new laptop, but at least mine still works. Several keys on the keyboard refuse to work, despite having put two new keyboards in. Regular right click refuses to work, so had to remap it to a different mouse button. Also the video card sometimes freaks out and I have to reboot to get it working properly again. But at least it still works.

Also considering taking the van in to have the thermostat changed (finally) possibly the temp sensor as well.

^^^ Pirate Camp is the place for projects… and brainstorming about projects. Is there an update for that video card out there on the web?

I have not yet figured out how to keep every one of my old laptops alive. Of course they are not all worth keeping alive. Unless I have some software on them that I can’t afford to replace or else the company that produced it has gone out of business or simply discontinued features I need.

THE REST OF THE STORY...........I needed a new computer to work with a Photo scanner I purchased

I already purchased a new "REFURBISHED" computer..........After SOUP......I tried to set it up but it was/is stuck in airplane mode and the battery is slow/low......Monday........I just heard back from Amazon seller........ "There's a hard wired Airplane Mode switch outside the case"!

Aha................try again

Debbie's bus is "rodent wire" broke down in Holbrook.......I understand many attempt at a fix and towing charges adding up.....North Country BEN will head to her location Thur/Fri and attempt a MIRACLE repair................otherwise it might be home to KANSAS

Sherry is in Bullhead City waiting for a new trailer jack............she'll be here this week

AND the seller is shipping a new battery

Debbie is heading in the right direction, getting closer…👍

Ben, and shadomoss… hoping you get well ASAP! Travel is indeed hazardous at times. 🤕

Abnorm, wishing your new PC’s replacement battery arrives ASAP.🔋

I need to get back over to Camilla’s today or tomorrow to finish installing her new sink drain stopper’s lever rod.
