The choice overwhelms me! (Looking for a camper rather than a full time dweller)

I've seen quite a few conversion vans posted on the Nashville CL and my "local" online marketplace, www.lsn.com. it encompasses the Cookeville area but I usually don't see ads from Knoxville. LSN was where I found my Ford E350 hightop handicapped van back in the fall. It doesn't get the best gas...

The choice overwhelms me! (Looking for a camper rather than a full time dweller)

I live in middle TN (a couple hours from Knoxville). I'll be glad to check out some ads from this area if you decide on what you want. As to the mechanic, I lucked out and a friend who is a shade tree mechanic was willing to look over my van before I bought it. Can you ask around for...

    A Soul Searching Morning

I'm not full-time but have taken the van out on several trips now. A couple of weeks ago, I had to travel for work and talked the boss into letting me drive the van so i wouldn't have to board the dogs. Camped near the worksites on Wednesday and Thursday nights, finished up work on Friday and...

    Confused about fuse panel wiring/info.

There are different ways to wire the frig: -good (or adequate): use the AC cord that came with the frig and plug into the cigarette plug. -better: cut off the male cigarette plug-in from the cord and either a) wire the cut end (via newly crimped on lug) into the fuse block or b) wire Anderson...

    Poll: Which fridge...

Oops. I'm not a vandweller yet. Didn't see your post until I'd voted. I've had my 45 qt Whynter toploading frig for over a year though, using 110 and occasional 12v and it's been great. Would buy again.

    New fine van furniture

Looks good to me and I bet it smells nice too. But yeah, how much does it weigh? :) Speaking of cutting things straight, I tried to build out my van using the foam laminate technique that was featured a few months ago. I can't cut foam straight using a knife for the life of me. I also can't cut...

    2001 Chevrolet Express 2500 - "Chief Dave"

Dan-My van comes with armrests (it is a Ford and not a Chevy) but my fat dog broke the one on the driver's seat so the arm rest wont sit parallel to the floor. Yeah. ::Of course I'm sure Sophia wouldnt do such a thing.::

    Sophia's Hauler...

Looking great! It's nice that you'll be able to sit up in bed without bumping your head!

Removing escape hatch-need to cover hole.

If this is directed to me, it is because I've heard great things about the Fantastic Fan. They do make escapehatches with fans but i dont know anything about the power consumption or quality of those fans. I haven't decided either way but did notice just opening the vent made a tremendous...

Removing escape hatch-need to cover hole.

My escape hatch has instructions on opening and closing the vent.  I have thought about installing a fan in its place so I'm following your progress.

    BobBski 2017..

One of my dogs, a 60 pound shepherd mix, has a bad habit of jumping into the driver's seat and honking the horn with his butt when he turns around. I have to put my poo bucket on the seat now. :)

    Where did it go?

    Glad you found it though.
