    Converting a 1986 G30 Van for Expeditioning

That thing is badass. never seen a cube van before. Id like to see one a little bigger for a full bathroom/kitchen/bed combo

    Coachmen Starflyte?

I saw a few reviews from sites like this and people either loved them or hated them, which is why I wanted to ask here. I love the openness of the unit. Its only 2 feet longer than the Class B vans, yet feels so much more roomy. Some models even have the TV cabinets removed and an overcab bed...

Cutting them off might be more work than simply cutting out the carpet around them =\

    My Conversion van.....conversion

I just started ripping out the carpet on mine too! It had some polyiso style padding under the carpet with a very very thin layer of padding (maybe 1/8'' thick). There was no sub floor at all under my carpet. My plan is to lay down some of that jean material insultation you can get super cheap...

    Peel N Stick Vinyl flooring

    1. What additional adhesive did you apply under it? 2. I see the subfloor you used is plywood. how thick was it? 1/4''? 3/8'? 5/8"? 3. Did you lay down insulation under the plywood? 4. Are you planning on doing any floor runners along the baseboards to cover up the cut edges? Looks great!

    Transvan ??

Have you seen the Starflytes? Not as retro but similar in thought I think. Just a bit larger than a Class B van, but just as easy to drive...

    Corporate Van Living

SF is already against this with tiny homes. Theyre all but strictly banned. there is also legislations being discussed now in santa clara county regarding towing any vehicle, without notice, that appears to be lived in, an RV, or sits for 72 hours consecutively. While the 72 hour thing isn't...

Redoing the floor of my van

Why lay out a frame of 1x2? I have bolts in the body of the van that I need to access for the seats and this would create an unrealistic height from said bolts. The ribs in the sheet metal act as that frame anyway based on what youre saying. I am not building custom cabinets. This is a...

Redoing the floor of my van

Hey All So im tearing out the old carpet in my conversion van. 94 GMC Vandura 2500. The installer, whomever it was, did a half assed job. The window sills are held up with pieces of 2x4 snugged up against the body panels and insulation. its a fucking joke. Anyway, I got the walling removed...
