have you van dwelled in the seattle area if so what was it like

Seattle Proper, is not the best place. I was just there in October.

Most any of the outskirts are fine tho. I did stay 1 night in downtown Seattle, it was OK. But I wouldn't want to have to hunt for free parking spots allowed all night long in Seattle Proper, even near Seattle it can be hard to find. I spent most of my time in Seattle way up north near Marysville, and had a much better time

There is a public land on the west side of Seattle. I didn't manage to make it out there this trip (I was visiting my sister the whole time pretty much) but I hope next time I'm up there, I will find some time to go out there.

There is a thread or three around here if you search the forums for Seattle, that give more specific places to park.

With Love,
Tara

I live near the Seattle area and I saw on the news just last week that there were some problems with the van dwellers in the Ballard area.

Apparently some of the van dwellers have been pumping their Blackwater into holes they've dug in the ground on the parking strips next to where they live. Needless to say this hasn't left them in good favor with the neighborhood let alone the health department and or EPA.

Given the notoriety, I'd be a little careful right now to make sure that I was not perceived as one of the problems.

Good luck,

roguedogg
