Well all, I finally had to give up my bed yesterday and I spent my first night in my RV. It gave me a renewed excitement for our new life, almost feel like a kid spending the night in your tree house for the first time. I now am VERY impatient to get out of here and on the road. One more week and my new tenants will be moving in, can't wait. I still have TONS of stuff to finish, but I feel better now that most of the work is almost done. It was a very hard thing to get through but I am very grateful to be able to do this. I also want to thank all my forum friends for all the encouragement and support you have given me over these last months and I truly hope to see you out on the road somewhere. I will be posting our travels here, in case one of you are near to where we will be.
I am soooooo EXCITED!!!!!!!!

I have found the tasks you had to go through very hard at first... then I end up saying "screw it" and just pitching most of the lot because it was not worth the stress and pressure. I'm not sure how well you ended this all up, but I hope it ended well.

Judy, I'm so excited for you. You're almost there and will be able to relax, take a deep breathe, and only need to worry about your next adventure. I wish you and your husband great wonderful adventures.
Rae

Thanx so much all! I am finally almost done. Everything is out of the house, and it is for the most part cleaned. Have only to get carpets shampooed.
This was for sure a very hard process, and I am so very glad it is almost over and we will be able to finally leave S.C. My renter backed out on me at the last minuet though and we are trying to find another, very frustrating! We are still waiting for our trailer to be built, had to special order an aluminum one for our motorcycles cause they are way lighter than a regular cargo trailer. We need an enclosed one because of the sand storms in the southwest, didn't want our bikes to get ruined.
We are now living in our camper full time at a local campground by our house till the house is done, it is very comfortable.
I believe we are going to head north when all is done here, then work our way west. We are, like a lot of us, planning to spend the winter in the southwest desert and are hoping to run across some of you this winter. We are very excited to get this show on the road and have some fun.
We will keep everyone posted on our travels.
Take care everyone, and happy travels!

Glad to hear things are starting to work out for you. Good luck getting it finalized.

Hello everyone! Haven't been here in awhile! I hope everyone is well and staying warm in this very frigid weather! Well, we ended up in south florida in case anyone was wondering what has happened to us. We are living in a small town east of tampa.
We came down here to lookup an old and dear friend and ended up buying a small travel trailer with a florida room built on to it in an over 50 park for only 2,000.00! I absolutely love it down here! With only a very few exceptionally cold days that we've had this last week, it's motorcycle ridin weather all year!
My husband has steadily declined with his health and he was very worried about me being out on the road with the RV and not having anyplace to park for any reasonable amount of time, so he bought this place for me in case something happens to him.
I still have my RV and trailer for my bike so I can still get up and go anytime I feel like it. I guess I have the best of both world's now, right!
But we are very happy here, and my husband is comfortable here, and the best part of all is the rent is only 250.00 a month! Much better than that 1,000.00 house payment we had!
We did stay in our RV for about 6 months after we left SC, then we came down here to florida and never left!
We really love our class C, but if I had to do it again I would get an RV with slide outs. When there are two of you it's kind of squishy in a class C without them. But I still love going traveling in it!
Anyway, I am just up-dating for those who were wondering.
I hope all of you have an awesome, dream filled year this year, and don't forget to take care of you!

I am so glad to hear from you, yes I had wondered what happened to you. It sounds like a good solution to your problems for now, to be in one place and so reasonable. Must feel good to have fewer responsibilities regarding home ownership. With the market as it is today, you should be able to sell your trailer for what you have in it when you decide to hit the road. Making any Jewelry?

We are going thru the purge, now, and doing what is needed to get the house on the market. It is not as bad for us this time (outside of DH starting a grease fire in the kitchen yesterday) as it was for you. We went thru it 20 years ago, which changed our attitudes towards "stuff." We thought about renting the house, as you did, but for us selling is better. We do not want to come back to this area permanently and we don't want to be tied to the house.

BTW, if you are jest east of Tampa, you are near us in Seminole. How are you liking the cold we are getting?

Hello Dragonfly! Hope you are well sweetie! How are you handling the weather up there in Ohio? Yes, this is a much better situation than we were in, in SC. And very manageable money wise! And yes, I am still making my jewelry, although not as much as I would like. Most of my jewelry stuff is still in SC in the storage unit, but I'm planning on changing that real soon. I'm going to buy myself a garage and take my rv and trailer up there and get my stuff. How's your art coming? Selling anything much these days? I have always loved your artwork, it's absolutely beautiful! I hope all is going good with your life. Did you get your little camper finished? I would love to see some pics of it.
My hubby is not doing well, I've been very worried about him lately. That's why we got this place. But it's really great here, very peaceful and warm, usually! LOL! Take care of yourself and stay out of that nasty cold up there! Hope to talk to ya soon!
jean, yes, we are very close to Seminole. We are actually in Zephyrhills. And hopefully it will be warming up again soon. Supposed to be back up to eighty by Friday, we'll see!

Dragonfly, I went to your blog, your little camper looks really great! So cute! Hope you get to use it a lot! Your leaves are also very beautiful, great idea!
