WTH why is there a super long timer on me sending PMs to friends???

So I am trying to PM a few friends while I'm on here and I find this super unfriendly long timer that allows me to send 1 PM at a time to 1 person every ten minutes?? How did this come about? I know I have not run into this problem before. Am I in some kinda bad person status lol!

You obviously had not tried to send a second private message to someone here before.

Actually looking thru my old PM's I have sent several within a minute of each other over the past few years, I haven't pm'd in the last year or so, but in the past i could send several.

well we had a problem with spammers using the PM's to spam they would send out dozens at a time so the limit was added. however if I remember correctly the limit was more than one. highdesertranger
