Sure wish I was already on the road so I could meet up with all of you.  But I won't be heading out until June of next year.  However, great idea to post here to meet up with people.  Not sure how much companionship I will/won't want on the road so I guess I'll find out!

June would be a great month to meet up with snowbirds who've escaped from the desert heat and found a cooler place to dwell! My plan, and eveything hinges on the big 'IF"--if I have a vehicle by then--is probably going to be someplace in New Mexico with a high enough  elevation to be comfortable. Bob had a post about a seasonal fee for camping on native american lands that sounded good to me. I don't think I will be wandering too far form Quartztite the first year on the road. Other single ladies might chime in here with other ideas. Keep in touch!

You'll have wheels -- you can run away!

I plan on keeping a pretty tight circle around southern Nevada, eastern California, Arizona, and New Mexico for my first full year also. It's familiar. After that, start venturing out to the east coast eventually.

I'm heading out of St George tomorrow and heading for Kingman/Lake Havasu area to find work...watched the weather patterns here and it just gets too cold for the tanks on the RV. I'll be boondocking on BLM for a couple of weeks while looking for work so if anyone wants to come say "hi" let me know.

Good luck on the job hunt!  I hope you find something that is both interesting and pays well.  And if you only have to show up one or two days a week, deal with it. :D

Glad I found this site and hope I get to meet up with you all at the RTR in January 2018.  Sometimes I feel a little lost and lonely and I believe friendships with like-minded people will help. I love to travel and explore in my van but right now I keep a small apartment in Tulsa Oklahoma as my base. I have a daughter and grandchildren here and my Health insurance ties me to Oklahoma right now. The RTR sounds fabulous and I've always wanted to go to Quartside so now I have a reason and a group to camp with!

I'm not fulltiming. The best I can visualize is to take lots of trips from the home base in southern New Mexico. I appreciate communicating with and reading about other women on this forum. I feel like I know some of them at least well enough to go up and introduce myself if I should ever go to RTR.

Planning on being at the RTR. SO looking forward to it! Hope to meet everyone there!
