Wildfire closes US 160 near La Vita, Colorado

I got a pre-evacuation notice tonight so will probably be heading out tomorrow.  US 160 is closed at La Vita pass due to the wild fire.

July is when it gets very hot and dry in the west, and fire season really gets underway. Both NM and NV are imposing fire restrictions for the summer, starting "now". We need to check things out before traveling this summer.

South West Colorado is already in stage 2 fire restrictions as well. The San Juan Forrest has been closed and reopened already as well..
