what's a typical hole-in-the-wall burrito cost these days?

its a while since i've lived in the USofA and I really miss my favorite burrito, from a hole in the wall Mexican place next to the home depot in Sunnyvale CA

what's a no frills burrito cost these days in a western city?

actually, come to think of it, a better title is what is the cost of any cheap restaurant food if you shop around? like pizza lunch specials, subway sandwich of the day, that kind of thing? i'll be cooking most of the time, but sometimes nice a have a break.

i'm wondering so i can plan the expenses

About $5. Drink cup of water. --- you can get a Micky dee burger for $1.

I was paying about 8 dollars at "CAN CUN" ( SF mission district) for a Mojado a very large and wet with sauce burrito
I cut into 3 pieces had 3 lunches stopped that due to dietary changes.

Dollar Tree has some huge ones you could get 4 good snacks price oh yes 1$

Taco bell has like a 1 dollar burrito o think.

I buy Taco Hell occasionally, but most often get the 8-pack at Publix for less than 5 bucks. Two plus a side make a fair meal. The Chimichangas are better, with a flaky shell, but my local Publix no longer carry them.

well here in Tijuana de norte a decent burrito will put you back about 8 bucks. I don't even consider taco smell fit for human consumption. however if you are ever in so cal and see romanas burritos at a liquor store or gas station they are great, the only prewrapped burrito that I will eat. highdesertranger

A Carne Asada Burrito is going for 6.25 to 7 dollars these days at my local taco shops. Prices at these shops have really risen quickly in the last year by 20%, minimum.

Chicken is about 75 cents less.

Carnitas is about the same as Carne.

Portion sizes are also down. But sometimes a cook will recognize me and make me a heavier tube of meat and cheese.
