What is your favorite season in a year? Why do you enjoy it?
I know some people on this forum move around with the seasons, but I figure most people enjoy certain seasons over others. My favorite time of year is Winter because it remains cool, moist, and dark. I dislike aspects of Spring because of my allergies, I dislike aspects of Summer because it becomes hot, and I dislike aspects of Autumn because of winds and temperature fluctuations.

I love summer. I love the blue skies and feel of the sun on my skin. I hate winter because it's cold and gloomy and that makes me depressed. Spring is okay if its warm but it usually rains a lot which I don't like. Fall is okay in the beginning but I start to dread that winter is coming. In summer there is so much to do. I am more active in summer. Days are longer so I get more done. I just feel better in summer. Love it :)

I don't like cold weather so it is Summer....It is very easy to change elevation and provide yourself with the perfect amount of Summer Heat. My traditional places are Flagstaff, Arizona at 7300 feet. Even Winslow, AZ..at 5300 feet Cortez, Colorado and Durango, Colorado too. 6500 feet From these areas you can traverse as high as 10,000 feet near Teluride, Co to escape a heat wave. I think it is easier to stay cool than try and stay warm. I live more time outside of my van than inside. Being able to utilize the outside as a 'outdoor' space is very important to me. In the cold, although my van is very spacious and comfortable, I am forced to cook and live inside. SUMMERTIME!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!
NOTE: At my first RTR three years ago I learned that it is all about elevation to live in the perfect climate." I hope everyone comes to the RTR to learn all the important lessons taught at the seminars. Peace and Happiness everyone!

Ditto'd.

In order of preference:

Fall + by far my favorite.  Moderate temperatures, settled weather, pests are gone (tourists and bugs).
 - winter is next.
Spring + days getting longer, temps warming up, new budding trees (love their soft colors).
 - can be sloppy wet.
Summer + long days, hot days, lots of sun; energized to get a lot done.
 -  lots of bugs, people everywhere, hot nights.
Winter + skiing (downhill and XC), hiking places inaccessible in summer (lakes and swamps), freezing my a$$ off watching a hole in the ice.
 - used to love winter but as I have aged I do not tolerate the cold as well, so I don't enjoy the outdoors as much.  Short, cloudy days are hard on me (SADD).

Prefer dry to wet; the gloom that comes with rain affects my mood.  Although some of my most memorable hikes have been wandering in the mountains in a light rain/mist, just lost in my thoughts.

Autumn, beyond a doubt.  I don't deal well with hot weather, autumn is cool relief after a long, hot, humid summer.  (I hate that.)

Plus as a photographer, I LOVE the autumn colors.

Regards
John

well I voted other. I like all the seasons, I feel they are beautiful in one way or another. in summer while I don't like 100+ degrees I love the long days, short pants, beautiful sunrises and sunsets . in winter while I don't like driving in 2 feet of snow, I love the stark beauty of snow on the ground and leafless trees, also right after a snow storm when the sun comes out but there is still snow on the trees and brush, it's beautiful. I love fall because of the change from hot to cold and the amazing colors that goes with it. I love spring because it's like a rebirth of life, you can see it everywhere, hell you can smell it, you can feel it, it just makes you feel alive. so I love all the seasons, I find beauty in all of them. highdesertranger

My favorite season is: Warm!

I don't care for mud, bugs and absolutely detest snow!

summer, late spring, early autumn and as far north as possible I love the midnight sun, the long days warm evening, magic, maybe a couple of weeks of winter would suit me in the snow.

Summer without question. Just not as hot and muggy as central Florida can get.

I voted other as well and for the same reasons expressed earlier...I love them all.

For me it's spring and the wet season.   Where I live the two go hand in hand and even though we have some fall rains the spring is the time for new beginnings.  It's like a march of each of the trees, bushes, and flowers presenting themselves as they bloom.  I think of it as watching fireworks in very slow motion.   Colors seem more vibrant and light rays play as if searching for new signs of spouting life. .

My preference likely owes to my birth sign of Scorpio.  There's something about the irregular cadence of water dripping on metal roofs from the limbs after a shower and the sounds made by droplets falling into puddles that I find comforting and stimulating.  In these moments it is as if time seems to pause to examine these spectacles
briefly before moving on.

I love all seasons, all temperatures, and all weather. Both my van and my clothes are set up to handle anything and be comfortable both indoors and out.

I refuse to let the weather or temperatures dictate my travels.

Duck season!  NO, Wabbit season!   :D  CHOCOLATE SEASON!

Everything is in a constant state of change, so I am continually like a child, seeing things for the first time.

When I first saw the question, I half expected the choices to be:
Firearm
Archery
Muzzleloader
etc

Can you tell I'm from Michigan?
