What a beginning to Spring - it's beautiful but darn I prefer 70F weather and sunshine! Yesterday I was outside without a coat!

I'm trying to think of where that is.  Alki is the only really sandy beach.  The others are more rocky.    ~crofter

Sorry about this...you but you are, fortunately for the people in Seattle who enjoy sandy beaches, incorrect. 

Golden Gardens has a very large and long, soft and deep, sandy beach that is only rocky at its north end. The beach I am at is just south of there along the same stretch of coastline.


But there are many other smaller sandy beaches in the region on Puget sound, on Lake Washington and at other lakes too.
You even take the ferry across to Bainbridge Island and camp next to a large sandy beach at Fay Bainbridge Park, they have 26 RV hookup sites plus quite a few tent sites, some by the beach, some on the wooded upper bluff.

Outside my door is my shooting range which I got to use yesterday 1st time in over 4 months. I was hitting 2" steel swingers at 300 yards with a 22lr about 1/2 the time but it was windy. I usually hit golf balls but did OK for the 1st time out this year. Made for a happy day!
