What are the unwritten rules about dogs in campsites?

As far as I can tell the unwritten rules about dogs in campsites are:

* dog must be allowed to run wild and piss on everyone else's tires, solar panels, tents, and any other gear in nearby campsites. Bonus points for crapping in other peoples' campsites.
* dog must run around and bark all night

I like dogs. I do not like loose dogs. Out of respect for others (and avoid hypocrisy) my dog stays tethered unless indoors or in an enclosed dog park.

I bought a Chuck-It for throwing tennis balls, and my girl was pretty fast at learning how to "remind" me that it was time for some exercise. She would find a ball, bring it to me, and then drop it. Pick it up, drop it. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

They may not have opposable thumbs, but they're still pretty smart.
