I found this boat gas tank that's exactly the size I want for a water tank ,, the price is kinda steep though.
43 inch long
7 .75 inch tall
15 inch wide
$168

OK , I finally got the picture up.
Yeah thanks for pointing that out.

yep,  I wouldn't us that for potable water.  highdesertranger

Most my water is non drinkable rain water but yea , I would still prefer a actual water tank.
Thanks

if you are going to carry water, best to make it potable. non potable water can be found anywhere. even in the middle of the desert. highdesertranger

"Most my water is non drinkable rain water ..."

I'm curious -- why do you say that? Rainwater that falls on a clean surface is drinkable untreated.

Its not falling on a clean enough surface and I have no filters , I only use about 2 gallons of drinking water a month , I can buy those 2 gallons for 80 cents , I use 90 gallons of water a month for showering and occasionally washing my hands

oh my, 3 gallons a day for washing, good thing you are not in the desert. highdesertranger

How much do you use in the desert?

I can stretch 30 gallons into 3 weeks. so just over a gallon a day. highdesertranger

That's only 4 oz of water a day.  You must be drinking a lot in the shower.

I use about a gallon a day if I conserve.  I can do 2 weeks on 14 gallons with no showers.  Navy showers take less than a gallon.
