Verizon "More Everything Plan" 30 gigs!!

My 3gig per 30 days for $60 pre-paid is so puny

I usually use free WiFi for big downloads/YouTube and save the mifi for times when I need security.

Still.. I can probably do better.

Very convoluted. The $130 only includes data. Then, you pay for your phone, hotspot, etc. They have double data special now to keep millenicom customers. Go check out what they can do for you.

Jean, you're right and I was wrong. It's $130 for 30 gigs plus a device. So add a smartphone = $170 a month or just add a MIFI Jetpack and it's $150 a month. I added both for $190 a month.

I'm doing a blog post on this and I figured out how much it all worked out to price per gig this is it:

My old Verizon Plan: 10 gigs for $80 a month = $8 a gig
Price per gig when I went over my 10 gigs = $15 a gig
Millenicom: 20 gigs for $90 = $4.50 a gig.
Verizon More Everything with JetPack: 30 gigs for $150 = $5 a gig.
Verizon More Everything with Smartphone for $170 = $5.66 per gig plus unlimited talk and text
Add a line with a friend: 15 gigs for $80 = $5.33 a gig.

To compare how much you are paying per gig right now, divide the price per month by gigs.

If you have Smartalk or other unlimited plan you only get 3 gigs at full speed, the rest are so slow as to be unusable. I wouldn't count them.

Smattalk: 3 gigs for $45 = $15 per gig plus unlimited talk and text.

Smarttalk is by far your most expensive choice per gig! But if that's all you need, it's the cheapest per month.

That was my reaction too. $170. a month? WOW! That seems a bit pricey.

It's a lot per month but it isn't that much per gig of data. Here is a scale I worked out on what different plan cost per gig:

At $5.66 per gig plus unlimited talk and text it's actually a good price. Walmarts Smarttalk is the worst, almost 3 times as much!

Had to let my phone go this week, just couldn't pony up the 50 bucks for it right now. I couldn't imagine coming up with nearly 200 every month just on the phone/net bill.

Can't imagine giving up the phones. We'd probably give up eating, first. We keep in constant touch with family thru texts. If DH's 91 yr old mother could not reach him by phone, she'd be having fits. She already had fits when we left. She'd be reporting us for elder abuse and abandonment.

A very cheap plan for people who talk very little is Verizons $2 a day every time you use the phone. Once you pay for the day you can talk unlimited for that day. So call all your loved ones every Sunday and talk literally all day and it will cost you $8 a month. Or do it twice a week for $16 a month.

But in an emergency they can all reach you anytime.

Judy has a Jitterbug for phone and it is also very cheap if you don't talk much. They use Verizons towers.
