I found that using a flash drive instead of cd's saves battery life and space .

What I do is go to my Library with my laptop and download movies off of youtube using Opera browser with a extension Its provided by Oprea no third party program you need to add that it will download anything off of youtube ether to your hard drive or direct to a flash drive  .

Its not stealing !! I like the old sherlock holmes movies with Basil Raftbone , Gunsmoke ,Cambat,High chaparral,Get smart,Hundreds more  there all (out of copy rights ) and free on youtube .

Great idea! DVDs need a drive, which costs a lot of energy. Flash is to DVD as LED is to incandescent. A huge improvement in energy conservation! And thanks for the download tip. I also love Sherlock! Found a boxed set of 30+ episodes with Ronald Howard and Marion Crawford. Different from the Rathbone interpretation, just as wonderful.

I like that saying flash is to DVD as LED is to incandescent thats a perfect way of expressing it .

If anyone have questions please ask

You guys remember Rat patrol when you where a kid  download all the episodes off youtube  for free (out of copyright )

I like to use a YouTube downloader (there are several free versions on the Net) and download movies and TV documentaries right to my hard drive, where I can watch them anytime later. There are lots of very good documentaries available from English-language versions of Japanese, German, Arabic, Russian, and Chinese TV (if you avoid all the silly propaganda stuff).

I have external USB hard drives for movie and TV storage. Would be SERIOUSLY expensive to have that many terabytes stored on flash.

That to is an excellent idea anything to get away from cd's a dvd player really sucks on the battery and keeping cd's can take up a lot of room.

Im saying a flash drive because I was living in my little truck camper shell for a year and had to be frugal on things (no room ) so I would download a hand full of movies from the library every two weeks  then go back delete them as needed and find more for the next few weeks or so

I had about 4 flash drives at 16 gigs each most shows on youtube are about 750 mb to 1 gig I had 64 gigs combined thats a lot of movies

It was tight had to be frugal
