Using ebt card out of state?

I was curious if someone had a california ebt card but relocated to florida for the winter.How long can the ebt typically be used for?

Until you have to do a redetermination of your benefits, which will have to be done in your state of residence.

When I applied back in Jan. for an AZ card I asked about using it in other states because I planned to travel a lot.

I was told that after 30 days I would need to reapply. Well, that wasn't the case because I used it during a trip I took thru 13 other states from July to Oct.

This may be because of changes made to SNAP in many states due to COVID.

The ebt cards are not transferable to another state. Your benefits may be cut off when you travel. I had this experience in 2014. YMMV.  -crofter

I got mine in NY State a few years ago.  I hardly ever use it in NY---I use it in NJ and PA currently, and I have also used it in TX, CA, and CT.
