So my parents moved from sacremento to Virginia

I have been using Medicare with the sacremento address to see docs at Stanford which helped me.gey disability

Now in Florida I scheduled to see a specialist who takes Medicare but needs a florida or Virginia address

I gave them my parents  Virginia address though I'm camping in south Florida.Undecided about returning to California. Its a scouting period at the moment

I haven't reported any change of address to ssa as I'm technically houseless and don't have an address down here in Ft Lauderdale

Still leaving the medi-cal and ebt open as I may return to California

Is there problems with ssa and Medicare using 2 addresses.Sacremento old address to see docs in California and parents new address for seeing a doctor in Florida

Meaning would I get booted of ssdi for this?

Thank You

Florida has a good program for helping you figure out Medicare. I think it is run by a state agency (in other words, not by Medicare) and operated by volunteers. If you're worried you could always ask about their confidentiality rules before you say anything sensitive.

I consulted them once when I lived in Florida and found them super helpful. I don't remember having to give a lot of personal info or show an ID.

Check them out here: https://www.floridashine.org/

If they can't help you with the SSDI angle they can probably suggest a resource. Anyway they seem like a good starting point. Be nice to them; they're volunteers and they work hard. :shy:

Florida is a test for me as I'm not sure if I'll be here long

My residency is still in California which is where the medi-cal paying part B premiums for SSDI is

Also address I have been using for Medicare

I used my parents address in virginia to see a specialist in Florida this Tuesday as the clinic doesn't accept California address

If ssa sees this virginia address being billed by Medicare in Florida meanwhile payments are coming out of California's medicaid paying for Medicare will this get me in trouble with ssdi being in Florida for now?

Regarding reporting change in address

Thank you

It is too confusing of a question to answer. Much depends on what type of appointment you need and what plan you are on. Some supplemental plans are with medical groups that only offer regular care appointments in your state of residence. But when out of state and you have a true emergency medical need then there will be some coverage for that. But not for any long term follow up treatments related to that incident.

It is not against any law to call up and ask questions about generalities such as what is covered when I am traveling out of my home state. No need to say you are wandering around the country homeless. Why raise red flags like that? Use some plain, old fashioned common sense when discussing your personal busines with any strangers, any beaurocrats or even insurance agents. Do not say or imply "homeless" as that can generate negative responses and rarely brings useful sympathy unless dealing with charitable non profits or social workers.
