Amen to that, being myself an x pawnbroker/star (haha) Know most of the filming is done at night after hours and they shine a bright light in the window to give the daylight effect.

You're welcome bindi&us! Hope we met up someday again as we both wander down the road.

We're not Pawn Star fans but we saw the long line. Yeah, skip that. There are so many other things to see that will keep you busy for a few days.

Don't plan on meeting the Pawn Stars crew in Vegas. They are nowhere to be seen these days.

I've heard that in Vegas you can bet on which one of the guys in the PS crew will be the first to have a heart attack.

I wouldn't doubt it. You can bet on about anything in the world out there.

We're not into gambling, but we had a lot of fun. We'd get a casino's game card and play the free points, maybe throw in a buck each on the penny machines. The friendly gal would bring us a free drinks as long as we hung out. Tip her a dollar and we got 2 drinks for $3 which is cheaper than going to a bar and more fun. We have player club cards from all over L.V. and Nevada, as well as Or and Az. Each one represents $5-10 in free play and a drink. So, according to our log book, small wins, drinks and the fun of it, we were out about $75 over an 8/mo trip.
My largest win on free play was $10.50 cash. Margie does better and has paid for nice dinners several times.
Pretty cheap for all the fun and free camping.

You're my kind of gamblers Bindi&us. I thrive on playing for hours on the $5 free play. I don't usually drink (well maybe just one) as it makes me sleepy and none of my dogs have their drivers license. My new favorite place is Mt Airy Casino here in the Poconos. The first place I actually win more than lose. I can't wait to see Vegas. Is the strip surrounded by rough areas like Atlantic City? I felt safe on the boardwalk but the areas we passed through were a bit sketchy.

There are a lot of rough areas in Vegas but as long as you stay around the casinos you'll be okay. Downtown where the RV park and Fremont Street are located is grungier than the strip. You really don't want to wander far from Fremont Street. It's fine along the strip and there's not much reason to wander too far off. You'll be fine driving around. Kind of the same as Atlantic City. We've never had the slightest problem on any of our visits to Vegas.

Yup, from Main St. Station, especially at night, you wanna stay on the right side (left is darker) of the street along where the train cars are. A couple block well lit stroll will take you to the end of Freemont where its all brightly lit and pretty well patrolled.

Margie wanted me to mention the 99cent margaritas at Main St, Casino :D
Also, if you see the cute guy in the loincloth and headdress she wants you to have your pic taken with him and be sure to give him a pat on the ass :D
