I will be heading over to Ace tomorrow and while I'm there, I'll see if they have a rather large self tapper kinda screw. I think that hole there is bigger than a quarter inch, I think...

I really do appreciate all the help, I'm sorry if I got a little grumpy...

Thank you all so much!

The 2/0 cable from floor to alternator or nearby engine block is Overkill.  I highly  approve!  It will really help maximum alternator current make it to  depleted house bank when the voltage regulator is seeking mid 14 or higher volts

It will be a very good grounding point, and a thick silicone bronze bolt ot just bronze will make for a great stud for attaching all the house battery grounds/ bussbar to. It is a much better ground than just the steel of the floor

They have pass through studs you can use for the (+) from the alternator/Solenoid

YOu could ise one of these on the ground too if you wanted

A couple of suggestions:

While it's most important that the steel under the cable lug be cleaned with sandpaper or a wire brush down to bright, bare metal, it also wouldn't hurt if you cleaned both the steel and the lug chemically with something like DeOxit, if you have it around, before assembly.

After it's assembled and good and tight, it's usually a good idea to smear a coating of white lithium grease over it to seal out water and help prevent corrosion.

IT'S ALIVE!!!

Almost three months of buying stuff, agonizing over what to get, where to put it, how will it all work together...
All of that design paralysis, Done...

It's Alive! Our little van project is finally alive.
The inverter / charger is running, I have 12 v power to the outlets, the fan is running,
OHHHH MY, finally!

Well, It's functional anyway, I still need to go back in and make the final placements,
add some beauty panels, and bolt everything down to make it road worthy, but the 12v and 110AC systems are powered up!

I still need to add the line for the solenoid cutoff, and of course the solar system, but today was a major step!!!!!!!

SUCH FUN!!!
