Hi everyone, I own a 2003 gmc sierra extended cab truck with a tonneau bed cover. I want to buy a renogy 200 solar kit and put  on the truck bed cover while keeping battery and controller in the bed. Will I have any issues with ventilation if I keep the tonneau cover cracked open a bit? I will also have a whynter frig back there as well. I plan on sleeping in my truck and/or tent until I can do better. Any suggestions?

I don't think you will have any problem with that at all. In the summer it could get very hot under the cover and the fridge will have to work very hard.

But the bigrer question is where will you sleep, cook, change clothes and go to the bathroom?

I think a shell is a much better idea.

I'd be doing some serious looking for a barter deal to swap into a van, myself.

We traded a Kia Sportage for our RV and later swapped that for the van we have now.
I called ads for vans we liked till I found a guy who wanted to get together.
Never know till you ask ;)

I also think a shell is a much better option over a tonneau cover. highdesertranger

Tonneaus are Notoriously Not Water tight... and electronics usually don't enjoy aquatic environments...
