Hi Patrice,
I will be honest, I like having the medical marijuana as a backup to opiates because I don't dare just pop another pill...but like tonight had a rough night at work, had to do more then I really should and am hurting. I am comfortable taking the medical marijuana alongside the opiates because it's safer. I have been looking at a list of states where recreational marijuana is legal, and which states allow it for medical for chronic pain. I have a feeling in a few years I am going to move out west to maybe new mexico, and when I take off for the summer head to colorado/california/oregon/washington where it's legal so I can always buy more. Then when I head back to my home base, find a pain management doctor who is willing to work with me when I travel. I know I am being optimistic, but prefer it to pessimism.
best of luck, and happy trails
