Our nickname for our class C 1982 Tioga that my husband has fixed up this year is "the cabin," and we're getting ready to leave our small town in Colorado for about 6 months... it was going to be day after tomorrow, but we looked at our lists of things to do, checked the weather forecasts, and decided the next day will be just fine. No need to make tomorrow into a grueling marathon, and that seems to work better for our housesitter too.
We're starting by heading southward along the eastern part of New Mexico, going to state parks mainly. We'll get the $225 a year pass that will let us camp free for up to 2 weeks in any park, and then we can go back to that park after being out for 2 weeks. So we'll discover how the internet is via our Verizon unlimited data 4g plan, and that will shape how we travel. Also, some of those parks were VERY cold recently so we'll keep an eye on forecasts, mainly using the weather.com 10 day forecasts.
Photos later. Will we make it to the RTR? It depends on what we find as we travel.
