Having had rigs with and without TV's I am still on the fence, this new to me Alaskan has me being very lean on the storage. My TV times have been before sunrise and after sunset. I don't miss it yet I take any oportunity to watch when offered. What about YOU.

I use my laptop & a Hauppaugel  usb dongle for over the air broadcast TV.

In a small space a phone, tablet or laptop gives great viewing. As mentioned there are ways to get live TV if you are close enough. If you have huge data you could stream NetFlix or another service. Laptop you can borrow movies from a library. Can stream for free various news and radio stations.

I am usually out of TV range and not paying for some special service, I camp near a dirt road I would need to drive 5 miles of rocky road to get any reception all uphill I guess I answered my own question.

LOL- my answer is: "not to TV"
as i have come to believe TV is is just as ADDICTIVE as Cocaine- so at 1st it may seem hard to live without it- in the end we are better off

I use TV only to watch Shakespeare; otherwise, no TV. Lots of books and some Internet.

I also use my laptop and a USB TV tuner. Mostly just for news and weather.

I prefer to watch documentaries mostly, which I download from YouTube and watch offline. British, German, Arab and Japanese TV have some very good documentaries in English versions.

The trailer came with a television. There is one station which doesn't come in well at all. I've never been a TV watcher, I've spent decades without one in my homes. Hubby likes to watch mindless drivel (American Ninja Warrior, anyone?), but has only watched in his van when out and about.

I use my tablet for videos- Amazon Prime and Showtime. But I was talking to a neighbor at an RV park and he uses a Roku with their WiFI. A Roku stick is now on order. I wonder if I can use it with an unlimited 3G hotspot? Guess I'll find out. In any case, some of the more popular New Mexico parks have wifi, and since we spend most of our time in the state park system, i'll give that a try. Maybe I can get next season's Outlander on the 28" screen.

I've raised several lots of spawn, never a TV in the house.

These days have to put it in quotes, took the current crop to visit my sister, and she had to explain the concept to them.

They were not impressed

You mean you need to know what time a particular episode is coming on ? What if you're in the middle of doing something else?

Not to tv
theres so many shows on youtube for the rainy days or lazy days
I have amazon prime for movies as well .
I go to the library to use there wifi down load documentary's,movies,tv shows put them on a flash drive for low power consumption on my laptop cd's eat up power.

I seldom watch TV and never when alone.  I read a lot.  I consider the drivel on TV and in movies to be a waste of time.

Research has shown that your body (including your brain) uses less energy watching video than when sleeping.

I enjoy PBS quite often when I have access to it. Great documentaries, the news is relatively solid, the occasional high quality drama. Can't get it from where I'm at now. Other TV i can't stand not only because most of it is junk but because of the commercials. I cannot abide that shrill noisy stupidity.

That said, I have both Amazon Prime and Netflix for now. I'll give up Netflix when I have to, but may never give up Prime because of the shipping benefits plus streaming combo.

I do like youtube on in the background when I'm in a house, while I do this or that on my laptop or tablet. And I got a TV for my trailer to duplicate that. These days new TV's usually come with all kinds of abilities, like USB to plug in a tablet or computer or phone, wifi, the ability to use apps like Netflix or Amazon movies and music already built-in, and mine did too. Unfortunately the wifi here is iffy and and the TV's wifi is not as good as even my cheapest tablet's, so I've gotten hardly any use out of it. I usually watch youtube on my laptop and movies and TV on my tablet.

I do like the noise most of all sometimes. Often that most of all. Many documentaries are about as good half-listened to as fully, and that's all the more true with lots of youtube.

WOW all that must use data like crazy!
LOL- i dropped Amazon PRIME this year when the price went up- the shipping is still free ($35) and it is nearly as fast- BUT Amazon made me so MAD w/price that i order everything possible thru WM.com- many times i search on AMAZON (bc the descriptions are better) then if price is less or same i give my business to WM.com

one item was same price but WM.com was $100 shipping (100lbs) & Amazon was free shipping
LOL- i said i am MAD not crazy!!!
