Hello! I'm new to the community and am trying to find a suitable option for a friend.

She is looking for something that will comfortably transport her between churches(she is a missionary, and visits bunches of them for her work).  She recently has had bowel cancer and has a colostomy bag so staying in someones home causes some issues if there is any 'leakage' from the bag.

I told her I would do a little research and see where to go.

In regards to her budget she is thinking around 30k tops.

Must comfortably sleep 1 person(she said that we can use it when she goes back to Thailand and there are 3 of us).
Some form of toilet(I'm thinking chemical, self contained, that way no need to dump a tank)
I'm unsure on the shower bit - I think that even though she would like the shower - the task of filling the tank would be daunting(she's 65+)

I was told the Mercedes Benz Sprinter vans may be an option but I am thinking that is going to go way over her budget.

This looks like a fabulous place to begin my research! Thank you!

Welcome phoebeusfenix to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you. sounds like a class C might work the best. highdesertranger

Three people in a van might be OK for a week. It would be more than enough if you also had a tent. Hard to advise as what would be best for her, (gas mileage etc.), would not be the best fit for 3 people.

with 30k you could buy a very nice used motorhome. Big or small. No way I'd recommend a van for her.

:) Hello and Welcome.  There is/was a member here who is selling a class C that she has done a lot of renovating to.  Part of it included expanding the bathroom facilities.  It may be listed here.  Her name is Maxidane and there is a thread about the van here......somewhere.  Maybe someone will add a link?  Please.

Thank you very much for the prompt responses everyone! I shall begin my research on a Class C vehicles and see where that leads. I agree for 3 people a van may be a heck of a squeeze unless a tent is utilized as well.

Cheers!

A van and a popup or small TT would be viable, but class c would be easier.

Im not sure the exact usage for this. Is it for transporting for work and not having to hotel hop?
