For those who are reading and unaware, statements like these can be made because they have come from peculiarly reliable sources. NASA claims the moon 'rang like a bell' for over an hour when struck by a probe, indicating that it is a hollow artificial structure. But, this is from the same agency that still can't provide data from the moon landing, or answer how astronauts navigated the van allen belts to survive in a tin can made with foil and tape, as well as a host of inconsistencies about the footage/broadcast/lighting in the official documents.

There is so much NASA isn't telling us, and they like to "explain away" what we do know. Such as the Black Knight Satellite, and all the odd things seen on the Mars and orbiting the Earth. Why does NASA always cut away from the Space Station when some object comes into view?

I like to use Occam's razor to explain things.

Occam's razor (or Ockham's razor) is a principle from philosophy. Suppose there exist two explanations for an occurrence. In this case the one that requires the smallest number of assumptions is usually correct. Another way of saying it is that the more assumptions you have to make, the more unlikely an explanation. Occam's razor applies especially in the philosophy of science, but also more generally.

I usually carry something inspirational or philosophical in the van bookcase. Not much astronomy, ancient history, or geometry books in that book box though.

I think those of us 'who hear the call of the road and want that 'somewhat personal detatchment' from 'rat race' and the drama is what we people are about.

Humans are natural. Instinctual. Vicious for survival.....all normal mammal instincts and life forces. We are of the Earth and we are of Mother Nature.

Now throw in 'brain capacity' and 'power of thought' and we are now having to 'civilize' ourselves. To learn to live amongst a monster herd of humans, that many 'go against or threaten' our personal survival.

Natural human instincts are going to prevail. It has to be that way but in the bitter end of it all, how much 'humanity' can we give til that one person 'tip toes over our line drawn in the sand' and we will tolerate no more and all hell breaks loose? as it have since the dawn of time and will til the end of this world?

I think it truly is part of the reason I want out. I want simple self life discovery and exploration til I expire cause 'the world'---damn way too much for me anymore!

I’d love to chime in on this discussion but I think the moderators would cut me. I am a very conservative Christian. My goal in life for the past 15 years has been on Every email l send. Simply stated I want to be as kind and loving as Jesus. So that’s my goal and I don’t want to preach at you here partly because that’s not really allowed on this forum. And partly because it’s very rarely any good preacheing others and try to change their ideas. God bless all the nomads.

I think this whole thread is a discussion on how you cope when one does not accept that their are not always answers to our endless questions. The need to put things in handy little boxes so are minds rest at ease is the reason we end up in cults, religions, philosophies, life styles. Wether it is Jesus, alla, rev moon, guns, vanlife, nationalism, a political party, etc.. these are all fetishes, inanimate object worshiped for their magical powers or considered to be inhabited by a spirits of sorts. Freedom is being able to accept that we don’t have all the answers, and being able to laugh at ourselves for always trying to find them. Distractions, once you have a safe warm place to sleep and you know what’s for lunch?

I agree, I have been looking for answers for many years, I like to look at both sides of everything and decide for myself what the the true answer really is.

"Is this intended as a point of pride?"

Odd question, to me, but, no, it's not. Referencing morality is a hotbed of controversy, as it should be. Whose morality?

However, pretty much everything else I'm generally in alignment with. Kinda got a peek under the veil some time ago and there's a LOT there. So much I decided any further onion peeling, rabbit hole spelunking, etc was unnecessary outside of sheer diversion/entertainment.

Except when I'll find something, such as your thread, and it'll 'catch' me enough, lol, to engage.

I'm pretty much a "coexist" anarchist who points his nose towards compassion, kindness, Joy and living fully/freely. I get sidetracked at times, ha!!

Only political view I have right now is that our system is flaw beyond repair...it's "The Hunger Games American Style". We're the laughing stock of the world.

I agree, morality is subjective and must be analyzed and discussed to reach a consensus, but I have made no attempt to do so here, only to state that morality does exist as something greater than a mere abstract.

Yes there are varying views on “morality “but there are many views that are the same within different religious people and non-religious people. I know very few people who think that murder is right. In fact I know very few people that would think stealing is right. Again not trying to be an evangelist here but The fact that Hundreds of thousands of people with different backgrounds and beliefs come up with the same moral standards is evidence of one creator. OK I’ll knock it off now before I offend someone. Believe me I never have the intention of offending.

@nature
Surprised to see you on this thread.

I will disagree with your point on murder, considering the balance of an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth thinking that results is a desire to practice capital punishment. It is the rare person who is touched by murder, and does not wish for the immediate end of the offending party.

Scripture also considers rape to be a capital crime, and in this degenerate society many are guilty of both offenses with no justice of any kind for the victims.

What is a life worth? Couple of years in the slammer.

I won’t quote but there’s a 14,000 year old site in Turkey. Sumeria was far from the cradle of civilization but it sounds good.
One problem is high water tables and mud and thousands of years of building on top of each other. No conspiracy, simply geology. As time goes on we are finding more and more. It is extremely difficult to pinpoint a settlement and remember there were not 7 billion people in the world 100,000 years ago so not many sites.

And if you’ve ever worked on an archaeology dig it’s almost impossible: slow, slow, slow. Mapping, digging and reconstruction and most countries in the world don’t care and will dig up and destroy remnants of ancient civilizations to build their malls and freeways thus permanently destroying a priceless record.
This is not a conspiracy theory. I’ve never understood the comfort in that.
There are various reasons why it’s extremely hard to find evidence of pre-historical cultures. And it’s not because some occult groups don’t want you to know.

The fact that hundreds of thousand people of different backgrounds who come up with a list of moral standards bring them into law then enforce them with no morality, impose them for hundreds of years with no mercy on their neighbours, friends and family shielded by a cross, flag or other logos and a bunch of fairy tales is evidence that those hundreds of thousands of people don’t live by their standards and created them to control, firstly their women, then their communities. It is still happening as we speak in so called civilized societies fortunately as more people are educated they are quickly becoming a minority, unfortunately this creates desperation.

You talking about Göbekli Tepe?
It was buried about 12,500 years ago, probably around the time of the Great Flood.

No one is born with morality as a life need.
It is learned. Thru the ages.

That is why when civilizations come together they 'must interact' on a 'level of 'famed morality' of issues that means they can come together and subsist.

Lion will never be moral in its act, it acts as nature intended and so did long ago humans but as we gain muscle mass in our brain power thru meat/protein did our brains evolve into conscious thoughts and we 'tolerate and learn to live' as we 'need others' to do that or life as any 'civilized existence' is total chaos, and total nature. That is what life is, nature. Natural yet humans put it way past anything natural now of course and you would think thru this 'higher power' we gained we would in any way be smart enough to embrance 'our humanity' but we don't. Individuals can be moral on their terms as they know but total inhumanity to mankind is so elusive and it is kinda on a sad track of being just disgusting when it boils down to 'true humanity to mankind' as individuals and then throw in the 'ambition' of others and what we 'base a value of a life today, and you got our life today in its full glory.

good, bad? right, wrong? Just oh so wrong? Be interesting to see if any human could ever fix the big picture.
Nope ain't happening. Natural life as a mammal on this planet means 'we know' yet we might not act...so..

I will tell you. The core mistruth upon which all of our ingrained faulty premises have been founded. The greatest red pill they do not want us to know is this:

The fundamental construct of our universe is consciousness. Not matter.

Who does not want us to know this? The physics in support of this is... (note I didn't say it proves it) a hundred or so years old? Also matter and energy are completely interchangeable (that is proven). No one is keeping this a secret.

What are some reasons this isn't part of our everyday knowledge? One would be that "consciousness" is not easily definable or measurable, and no one has succeeded to date. Another would be that physicists do not need to consider consciousness in their calculations... quantum physics gets along just fine without a consciousness variable. In other words consciousness does seem to do anything consciously... it follows predictable physical laws. And religions aren't interested in newagey concepts, either.

Now, if you really want a red pill, a good one is that people believe the thoughts in their heads are real... :p

How would your political opinions change if you had answers to the real questions?
-Why are we here?
-How can we know if meaning is existent?
-To what degree can objectivity be verified?
I love to see former philosophy majors hit the road!

I will give you another high level red pill. Ours is not the first advanced global civilization on this planet. You need research only the Kaiminawa Wall to see this is the case.
I don't think that's a good one to hang your hat on...

"Some theorists who claim there were pre-Māori civilisations in New Zealand believed this stone wall in the Kaimanawa State Forest provided evidence for their ideas. It was said that the ‘blocks’ indicated that it could have been built by an earlier culture. However, the wall is a natural phenomenon. The blocks are fractures that appeared as the rock cooled, over 330,000 years ago." https://teara.govt.nz/en/document/1603/the-kaimanawa-wall

"The unraveling of the mystery happened after The New Zealand Department of Conservation asked Geologist Phillip Andrews to make an assessment of the wall. The department wrote: “He identified the rocks as the 330,000-year-old Rangitaiki Ignimbrite . . . he revealed a system of joints and fractures natural to the cooling process in ignimbrite sheets. What Brailsford had taken to be man-made cut, stacked blocks were no more than a type of natural rock formation.

And many others...

Not only NASA, but all the other companies and countries that launch satellites into space would need to be in on this conspiracy. Have you wondered why the ISS would have a live camera feed if they were actually trying to hide something? The government been has been mainstreaming some military UFO sightings lately, so I don't think they are as secretive as they used to be. And NASA itself would get a huge boost in funding if we knew they were finding aliens...

I like to use Occam's razor to explain things.
Good idea! (y)

I worked on top secret spy satellites in the early 80s, that orbited at 26,000 miles. Not a lot of space junk at that level. One day a project engineer held a small meeting with myself and a few others, and told us that a large object had slowly passed across the main lens. I ventured that it was part of the satellite's insulation that had come loose. These are comprised of many layers of metal coated (often with gold) plastic sheets with plastic scrim between the layers. Like everything on a satellite, they are made as light as possible, but they obviously are supposed to stay together. He replied that this was unlikely, but would not explain why... and I didn't hear any more about it. I'm pretty sure he would have gotten in trouble if it was found out that he was telling people this, since we were on a need to know basis, and I don't think anyone in the room needed to know that.

The weirdest UFO sighting I've had was a collection of pointy-nosed objects flying over in a V formation one night... in the Sierra, near Reno, late 90s I believe. I was sitting in the driver's seat of my truck and saw bunch of low flying sparks coming towards me in a V shape. They appeared to be at least 5 distinct objects, or at least sparks were coming off 5 points. I jumped out to get a better look. They seemed to be flying quite low and fast... maybe 20 seconds from horizon to horizon? I couldn't see the objects themselves because it was pitch dark, but the sparks being shed from the leading edges were very clear. The only place I've seen sparks like that was on spacecraft entering the atmosphere at extremely high speed. The oddest thing is that there was no sound whatsoever... utterly silent. I waited quite awhile to see if there would eventually be a sonic boom or something, but there was none. If that was something we made, I'd never heard of it.
