IT seems to me your plea for help isn't getting the response you need.
Some of the reasons may be that there isn't enough info in your post, Such as ........where is it that you need a cook? city/state/countryside?.......how many meals ...breakfast/lunch/dinner?....how many guests/customers at each meal...how many days a week.......what style of cooking.......... is there a prep cook...dishwasher....serving staff........buffet style/ order from the menu or a combination.....any catering for special functions/events...set menu or cooks choice.......does the cook cut the meat.....ribeye...t bone...filet mignon......NY strips ETC.
Have you checked with other employers in the areas? Larger churches and social groups may provide possible leads to you. I often worked 2 or 3 p.t. jobs at the same time........Workamper News on line...I think they have a bulletin board...Manpower........State unemployment agency.
I know a guy in SD food service since he was , 14yrs old he has a 2yr a.a.s degree in culinary arts....in his 40s now . I met him as a teenager and took him as a second cook when I moved into kitchen mgnmt. I did hear he was driving a truck a while back. I might be able find him with a few phone calls. If you want to PM me with your contact info for Chris I will pass it on & will also let you know if I haven't reached him, or I can ask for his contact info....your choice. I wish you luck for finding a replacement.
I started car hopping at 14yrs and cooking and bar-tending by 18yrs , when my son was 11yrs he would fill in at a D.Q. on sat. nite when the cook had "drunkmonia, they paid him cash at adult wages too. A good steady cook is hard to find and the competition will try to rustle them just like cattle and horses!
