I've just turned 50, my daughter graduated recently and I decided to change my life. I gave the house and my car to my daughter and bought a minivan. I've been living "out of it" for a few months, visiting miscellaneous friends and family, camping at various places, with my 2 beautiful boxer babies. I'm officially ready to make it full time, so I'm here to learn. Thank you for having me!

Welcome.
Lots of information here.
:) the house was very empty when my son moved out.

I have always felt that life begins at 50.

With a tip of the hat to your handle, I'll say merry meet and welcome.

Do you have your minivan outfitted for full time already since you've been traveling a lot? You'll find real-world tested info here on everything from cooking to caulking.

My life began again at 57. So welcome.

Welcome to CRVL.

I am interested in the title you chose for your thread. I had an experience before I retired and moved into a van. I was walking into my kitchen and a clear voice in my head, said "I want my life back!" I thought about it. I responded with a question, "which life would it be it that you want back?"I enumerated the different phases of my life which were definitely not appealing to me at the moment. Talking about it with someone I realized it wasn't any particular phase of my life in the past. "Wanting my life back" meant getting control of  my life and my time from external authorities, such as the workplace.

What ways are you taking your life back? If you will, don't feel you have to answer.

Again, welcome and enjoy!
