We are looking to see if it's possible to have a swivel seat in a 2004 Honda CRV. Haven't had much luck online, except for foreign languages I cannot translate, in finding if this is a possibility or not. We traveled for 5 months in our CRV and now are currently living in a cabin in Alaska until next summer doing some dog kennel work. After we are done we are leaving for full time "CRV dwelling" and a swivel seat would make everything SO much easier in the suv. There are 2 of us and now we will be adding a dog as well. There was room for us and we made a few adjustments while living here but the seat swivel would make it so much better with the dog(her bed at night). Has anyone seen this before or have an idea where I could find one? I did see a picture of a swivel seat in an Element but no links to the poster of the pic to check, so I'm hoping it's possible in the CRV too. Thank You!

I made swivel seat for my van - front passenger side
it was not to hard -

made with 3/4 inch plywood and 2 bearings -
with large bolt in middle - has worked well -
More than strong enough - smooth 360 swivel -

I also made seat base so it opens like a book for more storage-
can be locked also - pretty much hidden -
nice place to store $pendy stuff -
cost less than $50 and a days time to make --

My van Ford Transit -
if your seat base is similar box design
U should be able to make one -

I had thought about posting a How to Make -
but honestly there is so much negativity by several members
on this site that I decided not to -
I dont need the hassle -

haha that's funny "negativity". the thought never entered your mind that it's a bad idea. I wonder what your insurance company thinks or the highway patrol for that matter. do they think it's negativity too? I can't believe you even posted that. highdesertranger

My first thought was whether there's even enough room to rotate the seat without hitting the center console, the door, dash or even windshield. So I searched for photos of a 2004 CRV interior. I would say no. The measurement from a front seat corner to the opposite corner (all the way to the back side) looks to be greater than the smallest measurement between the door and console.

Really interested in hearing how it was made. Just bought a CRV for weekend camping and hoping to extend that to maybe hitting the road permanently. Any advice on the seat would be great . Thanks 😊

You can buy a swivel seat for a Honda Element. Go to youtube and or the internet and search with the keywords "Hiro's Hotrods " Youtube shows the installation directions. But you will have to contact Hiro to find out if they fit a CRV
