There will be a summer RTR Rubber Tramp Rendezvous in June 2013!

Where: South of Flagstaff, Arizona off Interstate 17

When: June 18 - July 2 2013

Who: You, that's who!! Everybody is welcome no matter what you live in. Vandwelling is an attitude and we can't even define what that means. So everyone is welcome!! Tents, cars, RVs, vans, bicycles, horses--all are welcome.

How much will it cost: Nothing! Just your time and the gas to get here.

What will we do: Have fun! Summer RTR is pretty informal, it will mainly be a social time. But we will be very close to two of the most beautiful places on the Planet, the Grand Canyon and Sedona, AZ so I expect we will take day trips to those areas. Flagstaff has an outstanding Solar Power store, so we will be glad to help you install a solar power system.

What should I bring: Everything you need, We will provide you with NOTHING WHATSOEVER! We will be close to Flagstaff which is a large town, so you can get all your supplies from there. We will have two group meals: a chili night and a soup night. Bring a can of chili and soup to contribute those two nights.

What will the weather be like: It's highly variable, but because Flagstaff is at 7000 feet, I would expect it to be on the cool side, come ready for cold.

Do you have a map to the location: No. I won't choose the exact location until very close to the official start date. You will have to check back here in June as the date approaches.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all there!
Bob

Flying back into the US on May 31st and hope to find a cargo van to live in and meet all of you at the gathering by June 18th. Fingers crossed!

Possible ride for someone with me.

My plans can change at the last minute to where I will have to cancel. If you are up in the air and can handle this and need a possible ride email me.

Situation and circumstance:
Travel in a Toyota 4Runner, with a tiny travel trailer, if it isn't ready then I will pick up a tent.
If you aren't a big person, there is room for 2, otherwise maybe you should bring your own tent.
If my 12 yo niece comes, you will need a tent.
A gentle pet is okay.
Sorry, smoking of cigs is not.
If you drink, don't be mean.
No pot or drugs in the car. Not that I care, I just don't want potential trouble with the police.
If you can help me drive that will be great-carry car ins. etc.
Stop to pee when anyone needs to stop and pee.
Point A to point B is not necessary.
I may have to cancel at the last minute but if I get away, I will be commited to the finish.

I don't know my route, it will probably be 70 west from Dayton Ohio
I can pick someone up along that route within reason.

Diane

Looking forward to the RTR and meeting who ever makes it out there. Excited to swap both practical and philosophical ideas (the later best done while sharing a bottle of wine lol). Have a great day all

You find a spot yet? I know of a great spot for lots of peeps south of Flag.

I may be able to make it. Depends on when the new mattress for my camper van gets here. That will determine when I leave west Texas.

If anyone in SoCal is going and would like someone to split gas costs with, I'd love to go. My car just isn't in shape for the drive. I can bring my own tent, etc.

I am considering going from Colorado.

If someone would like to join (and split fuel) and I can even tow your small trailer (under 2500lbs)

I just did the math and I can afford to rent an economy car for a week or two, so I'm in! I'll bring a tent and a cot to sleep in. Can't wait!

Wish I would have known about this a few weeks ago. Maybe January. The one this past january is 150 miles from my local areas of living.
