Hey all,

I'm in Prescott, but will be heading to Lake Havasu City shortly.  Before then I will also be heading up to Northern California.

Are there any reputable brick and mortar stores that sell good Deep Cycle batteries?  I'm looking to get two 12v, 200 amp hour deep cycle AGM batteries.  West Marine prices seemed a bit steep.

My personal opinion is that Lifeline and Odyssey are probably the two best brands of AGM batteries.  Neither will necessarily be among the cheapest.  Both companies websites have Find-A-Dealer pages that show a number of brick & stick locations in AZ.

If I remember correctly, Sternwake has good things to say about Northstar AGM batteries.

They're helpful, too. I showed up at their shop unannounced shortly after hitting the road. I had everything (I'd bought my controller online from them) except cables because I didn't know exactly what I needed in the way of gauge, length, etc. A guy looked at what equipment I had, told me what I needed, pulled one set of cables off the shelf and had another set made up in the back while I paid for it all.
