Check out my simplified approach to cooking using a step stool ladder! I simply put a large tray I got from Sears onto the top step, then placed a Coleman single stove with pan on top along with a can of propane. I'm using the other steps below to hold drinks and food items. I have this setup right next to my parked van. Even though I'm parked at a campground with my own picnic table, I choose not to use the table because it's usually dirty. I'm also using a collapsible lounge chair that can fit 2 persons to make things cozy for eating.

All your missing - is the water jug with spigot hanging off the back and an umbrella clamped to the handle

And a car door cup holder screwed to the side ---

Nice way to re-purpose a common everyday item. But I've got a bone to pick with you. Instead of a frying pan you really ought to be using one of these instead.

You have a wok to pick with me?! Haha! :) Great suggestion! I can make some tasty stir fry stuff on my step stool, haha! I've already used the step stool method a couple times, works great! I've been cooking pre-made Italian Chicken Alfredo found in the refrigerated section of Safeways. Yummy and easy to cook! Comes in a plastic bag good for 2 persons. Just cut the bag and empty into the pan (or wok)! Can't get easier than that!

I've even used the same step stool to place my Sony 14" laptop to watch DVD movies while lounging outside of the van parked in a campsite. Works great for that too! When it gets dark and cold, I also have both a 19" flatscreen TV to watch movies inside the van, plus a 11" flip down ceiling DVD player too. Both also work equally well for playing Mortal Combat with my Sony PS3 Playstation connected to these devices. Okay, okay, I admit, gotta have my boy toys!

You'll love it! My sister got one for me a few birthdays ago and I've been using it on camping trips ever since. It's now part of my cookware in the travel trailer. You can't beat that it's light weight too.
