<p>Wow! Thanks for blowing up my pictures like that. I have no idea how to do that. Great! One more thing to learn.<br><br>Here is my current thought train:<br><br>Do I want to spend the money and add maybe one more foot across (6" on both sides) and maybe two feet in length (6" to the front and 12" - 18" to the back)... or... do I want to keep it just like it is and start building up?<br><br>Because this is my future RV, I have to think in terms of what I find to be important. Some people will always want, or even need, twenty-one sq. ft more room. It is a lot of gain for such a small space. Am I a person who needs more space?<br><br>But! On the other hand... it will add a couple hundred dollars more to the initial cost of building... it will add weight, which is the main objective to avoid with this project... <em><br><br>And, with that... I think I have just answered my question. The main objective: Low Cost and Minimal Weight. If I need more room later, I will have learned a lot from this build.<br><br></em>Oh, I am so excited!<br>Bodhi</p>

Oh... it worked...<br><br>I have three sleeping bags in there and a very thick down comforter.<br><br>For the windows, I made covers from rigid 1/2" foam insulation and I used duct tape to put hinges on them so they fold up with not in use. I hope to develope a stylish system for hanging them up eventually, but for now I just duct tape them in place when I sleep.<br><br>I even have two room tent tucked up in there. Camping out is great! Stealthing out may be a bit more problematic or less enjoyable at this time. I haven't tried to stealth yet.<br><br>Will keep ya posted!<br><br>Also, I have decided to add the extra space on the trailer.... 6" on either side and 18" on the back. I have a guy who will weld it for me CHEAP and since I only paid $200 for it I have money left in the budget for that.<br><br>Slowly but surely it is all coming along. The fact that I have 10 yrs, 9 mths and 19 ds (but who's counting) before retirement gives me plenty of time to get this done!<br><br>Peace, Love, Patience and Persistant Determination to all..... I believe the little camper top is probably as old as a 90s... maybe even an 80s... but my truck is a 2003 Ford Ranger with a 6' bed. It does look bigger, huh?<br><br>Thank you for commenting on it being a "nice clean set up". I have juggled the crates and cushions and bedding around in there for over a month. My next project is creating a tyvek bed cover with grommets and some hooks on the frame of the camper to cover everything up when I need to... for security and just in case there is a little rain leakage (I am still working on sealing and painting the roof)<br><br>I have two milk crates that will go in there when I am living in it that should hold all my clothes. I think the plan will put them similar to how you said you had a shelf in the front. Right now I have 4 gallons of water where they will be but I am looking for a better place for my water.<br><br>Again, thank you for your input. I love showing my little blue camping buddy off and so few people in my life understand how much it means to me.<br><br>Peace Out... BODHI

It is going slower than I had anticipated but that is because external forces are at work in my life syphoning my money from my bank account. Hopefully, it will all turn around... SOON! Even if it doesn't turn soon, I have time.... 10 yrs, 9 mths, ?? dys.<br><br>I wanted to head to East Texas tonight and do some mowing tomorrow morning... but... money and thunderstorms yesterday and this morning will probably keep me home tonight. <br><br>YES! I met two women recently who lived in two vans and four tents and, let me tell you, they had it nice. They stayed in Thousand Trails Campgrounds and they each had their own rooms (they were actual sisters) and they had a large common room with a cooking area and a big TV viewing station and then "outside" they had a screened in shelter cover with a recliner and a rock and a table and a book shelf with books and puzzles!<br><br>If NATURE is my living room, my little sleeping and neccessary rooms should be plenty of space.<br><br>Much love out there...<br>BodhiWanderingRain said:
