Sweet jag! Very nice. I think I would want some or one window at least tho, but that's just me. I have to have some kind of access to seeing outside. :)

Barn doors are for sure the way to go l have had both in my 1972 Kurbmaster they folded all the way to the sides of the truck and with singles in the rear plus the bonus of the trusted prolific 350. You ARE doing a nice job.

My next build will be based on something very like. The hidden back doors are clever, what about the same thing on the side for windows/porch?

Hmmm, well I added windows to the sides and have thought about putting a drop down porch on the back end that would tuck into the door space but I think I do not have enough time before I must hit the road to be at my next job....but a great thought zemio.

Hello Jody, I like how you have framed in the back for the door and window.
Curious, what are the inside dimensions of the box?
I have been planing on doing something similar to my box truck for some time now.
Do you still have the original slide up rear door, or have you removed it?
The reason I ask is I'm planning on keeping mine in tact, but I need to work out where the door will fit in the raised position. I was thinking I might build the frame far enough back to allow for that, then use the area between the frame and back slider as a sort of garage area. This would allow me to just slide the back door down and lock it if I have to leave the truck for a while.
-Bruce

Bruce:

My truck has barn doors rather than slide up so it makes it easier to tuck the wall right at the opening. I have kept the doors for stealth and safety. My truck is very small at 6' x 9' on the floor 11' with the bed over the cab (2 more feet).

Jody, OOPS! I missed that you have barn doors. I was too busy concentrating on your fancy wood work.
6x9 with a 2ft overhang for a bed seems like a cozy camper.
Anyway, thanks for answering my question.
-Bruce

What an awesome looking conversion! You should be snug as a bug in a rug inside

Hello. I am new to this site but love the idea of a box truck. Up until this point I was planning a school bus conversion. I have tried to see your pics but they aren't showing up. Maybe its my device (kindle)? Will be looking for all the pointers I can get soon.
