Lack of competition tends to lead to less service at a higher cost it seems, let’s hope it doesn’t remain a one man show!
There are from articles I read 5? more companies that have FCC permitting and have a satellite or three up and are now testing. Amazon is among them. They have a couple of years remaining on their trial permit period left before they need fully comply to all the standards. In the meantime they are very busy getting things fine tuned to start selling services.

Sorry but I am not in the mood to track down that article but I think part of the title for the website was “space news”. I need to finish my coffee and go get a shower and do laundry. So busy morning🙂

If you spray laundry detergent on your clothes, set the shower to the appropriate temperature, turn on some dancing music before stepping into the shower with your coffee (in a splash free cup of course), you'll have a ton of time left to enjoy the rest of the morning.

Neither you or your clothes might be as clean as if done separately, but it would be efficient in its own way.

None of your suggestions work for my life style.
You do you and I will do me. My methods are definitely not based on madness but instead have very real logical thinking as well as experience with years of nomadic life behind them living in a very small travel trailer. For instance the laundry detergent. I travel with laundry pods, not bottles of liquid or even pretreating sprays. Space and weight savings! You not take coffee into public showers. My time is not limited, I am self employed part time so there is no rushing around. I have tinnitus, I no longer listen to dance music as it makes my tinnitus go into high volume for a whole day. Like I said you do you and I will do me.

You do realize I was joking right?

Nope. You were much too specific about what you recommended for it to sound like a joke. It just sounded like what you were doing yourself while living in a sticks and bricks house. Better luck next try!

I have always known I was a tiny little fish in a very big pond. That always happens when you are the middle child in a large baby boomer family. You get hand me downs, no new bicycles for you for under the Christmas tree 😢.

When you work for a giant company in the largest by volume building in the world you are reminded every minute of the work day you are physically very tiny and you get constant teminders by management at meetings that you are just a number and easily replaced.

Middle aged and older women had better get used to being treated as invisible by male store clerks. Because that is our ranking.

Out here on public lands we are just a license plate number among many to be herded off to other places by Rangers.

I like being pretty much invisible, just another number in a crowd. That has its benefits, like driving around in a white van or other vehicle that is common as dirt so you do not want to draw attention to yourself. I learned early on at school to be invisible to avoid being a teacher’s pet. Or getting assigned extra chores. 🤣

How about you? Did you make being a little fish in a big pond be your happy place? I was born in the position of “little fish” in the middle and found it to be relatively comfy.

That sounds somewhat bleak. Knowing other women who lived during those same times, they had different experiences. And still do.

And in this different time, I feel that I've done my part in ensuring my daughters won't ever feel that insignificant.

Everyone's path is different. For whatever your life has dealt you, you seem extremely competent and capable, regardless of gender.

I myself am not a fish. But my favorite place in the world is the beach. That said, I'm very comfortable in any setting.

I'm impressed by the positive reports on your Star Link usage. 21gb over that time is very reasonable. I would probably do a mix of movie or large downloads when free Wi-Fi is available if possible.

But just the connectivity and size of that small dish and plan is a game changer.

Even little fish are very good at swimming and they gain good survival skills!
