I do not run a Cpap but I do run a 12v fridge. 100 watts is not going to cut it so I would suggest starting with at least 200 watts. What are you planning on for a battery?

I agree on the 200 watts and I know that it is relatively easy to add the other 100 watts. I am pretty sure that I will want more. I want cooking to be as simple as possible, so I will do my own. Eating out in America gets very expensive. I know that propane is better, but a microwave could save a lot of time every once in a while.
As far as a battery, I want the most convenient, easy to use choice and I am not too concerned about the price. From what I have seen, none of them seems outlandishly expensive.
I know almost nothing about any of this stuff, so I am trying to figure out as much as I can without having any experience with electric power or mechanics. I have lived overseas for a long time and did not need to deal with driving or vehicles at all. This forum gives a lot of good information, but I need to sort it out.

A microwave is going to require three larger (grp 27 or better) 12v's or four 6 volts AND the solar to keep them charged up. That is at least 400 watts and I would prefer more like in a 2 to 1 ratio.
